Secret Scrimmage vs. Kansas State

I think this is great and should be more publicized. I agree with coach that it should be an NIL exhibition and fans should be encouraged to show up. I think it would be good for everyone to be able to show up and donate $5 or whatever to see a scrimmage between 2 D1 teams. Players could also do autographs, teams could sell merch, raise money for both teams NIL. WIN-WIN

Yeah, I would almost prefer going to this than going to games haha.

Like a much more affordable version of the Thanksgiving weekend tournaments.

Leading scorer? Slammin’ Sam Godwin

Overall? Not a bad scrimmage. Not great, not bad. I’ll update with some tidbits later.

Concerning to me that Godwin is leading scoring just based off of this one scrimmage

Outrebounded them 45-31. Obviously there are some negative things like turnovers or missed shots that assist us in that number but it’s a positive takeaway at least. I don’t think OU having a good offensive rebounding day is flukey though, I think that can continue.

Seems to be a bit of a tough crowd here, which I get after a few years of not making the tournament. Count me in that group as well, but not ready to just write the season off based on one secret scrimmage. Let's see the team in person first, perhaps.

Tough crowd? More like trolling crowd that has zero basketball knowledge just clowns.

Kansas Newman. Looked like there were a few kids in the background of the pictures I saw on Twitter. I’d guess they have some connections to Newman or one of the two teams.

Dang I graduated from there… Potter was the head coach… played when I was there. From Oklahoma.
