I hope we have seen the last of Strong-Moore in key situations. Shepherd handled the WV press better than anyone else on the floor. His 11 points, three assists and no turnovers wasn't too bad either.

Strong's minutes are as wasted as Buford's.

Shepherd should have had his minutes all year.

If I were giving out a player of the game for OUI would give it to Lattin, but Sheperd would be my second choice.

Starting lineup going forward needs to be

Shepard
Woodard
Mcgusty
Doolittle
Lattin

If moving to the two still doesn't help woodard, he needs to be benched

yup...

bet he doesn't see the floor next game:facepalm

Take out Odomes? I was really happy with Shepherd too but I just think his minutes need to increase. Still don't see him being the answer at the point.

yep.

Obviously woodard isn't the answer at point for this year or the future. So why not start a freshman that has shown poise and promise and move woodard to the position he excelled at last year?

Odomes can be a scorer off the bench

Odomes isn't a scorer though. He can slash with his left hand really well but the book is out on him. He cannot go right and he cannot pull up for a midrange jumper.

One thing I have been disappointed with him is the fact that we were told he was an excellent defender and gave Hield fits in practice. That hasn't translated this year on the court. He isn't a bad defender by any means but he isn't a defensive stopper either.

Bench Odomes for Shepherd & this team gives up 10 more points a game. I don't know how you don't see that he locks up whoever he is guarding and denies them to the point they can't even get the ball.

but maybe we score 11 more points per game....

It will be someone else next week to bench...all five starters for OU are up and down..the name changes game from game.

He's such an offensive liability.

Bring him off the bench for 20 minutes of high energy defense (Selvey).

How? He's 3rd in scoring, 2nd in assists, & shoots 48%.

How many three pointers is Doolittle going to give up this year?

DSM's shoulder limits him quite a bit, he's having surgery post season.

I know he's not great but he's not 100 percent by any means.

I do think Shepherd has some potential.

His ability to score is fully a function of taking shots within 5 feet of the bucket which elevates his shooting percentage. Secondly, there are teams which are just not going to allow him to slash to the basket at will. In the event the other team's defense is lacking is where he does his most damage otherwise his scoring tends to be inconsistent. Some of the posters are suggesting that Woodard take his place such that Shepherd gets the nod at the point. If Woodard plays up to par then you do not lose anything offensively plus you have a much better free throw shooter.

He should do it now then imo. This season is over. Start rehab asap. And try to atleast be a sam grooms serviceable back up

The fact that he can still get to the rim when they know he's going to drive left should say a lot.
