Lattin had 17 vs Hawaii and many of our points last night, especially during that big 2nd half run, came from penetration and kicking the ball out. Though those aren't "pts in the paint," it's evidence of an inside game.

I think you should do yourself and me a favor and simply quit watching OU. I don't want to hear your negative crap after a double digit win. Those other ea s have talented players and competent coaches. For the most part every team in that Tournament was similar to a lower level or better power conference team.

Good point. The Sooners needed to be tested, and show them some things they need to work on. They needed 3 tough games in that tournament and that's what they got.

1. Washington State hung with them for a half.

2. Hawaii played great perimeter defense, and had an outstanding PG and big man.

3. Harvard was very disciplined, played good defense, and had the best big man we've played against this season.

like Coach K said we need to work on our half court offense. Against good defense we are settling for long, contested shots before working the ball around.

I don't want to hear your crap Denver! Everyone saw what was happening. Are there reasons for the lows I was referring to? Yes. For one, they looked exhausted. One game I wondered if someone had overtaken Spanglers body.
The next, Cousins has a terrible game. Did I say to sit either? Did I call on another frosh to get his minutes? Nope.I call it as I see it. Win or lose. Sorry I can't do that without the pissing going on.

Of course the other ea s were talented and we were favored to win it. We did. Coaches find things that we need to work on. So do fans. Most just look in the wrong places. Good teams do what they are supposed to do. They are good. Real good and I hope they get better and take it all. Now Shut it!

I watch because OU is my team and my alma mater. I can stand to watch good or not so good. Would hardly be worth the effort to those who only can stand to watch the good stuff. Give yourself a break and just watch the highlights. They post them pretty quick after the game.

I was looking in the right place for hot-tempered rants about the team (you know, the game thread, where the other ridiculous over reactions were) but I couldn't find this one.

Find your happy place. Seriously. The team is undefeated and #3 in the country entering conference play. It's the best team we've had in many years. If you react with this much anger and hostility when we win, how are you going to react when we lose (which we will, btw). I love OU basketball but there's no way that tournament is so important to make you lose all control of your faculties on the Internet 3 times on Christmas and the day after.

I think the team needs a break and will be thankful for the days off. I know some of its fans need a break as well. Enjoy some peace during this respite.

I am at a loss. Guys, I don't know what has happened to you patriarchs but you have turned into pansies. Denver, SoonerNC, Sky?

What in the name? I never bash this team and never have. There are things that drive me crazy and I'm sure Lon feels the same way at times. Has nothing to do with records or wins. Jeez. I am not your average idiotic poster who comes on here and acts like he has the keys to the mansion and knows every offensive option and defensive set there is.

In years past, I have worked a third shift, slept an hour to listen to Bob Barry boom his voice across the ocean for some meaningless early season tourney game. I used to get so upset after a Big8 or 12 tourney loss that the tv didn't come back on until basketball season was over.

So to be labeled as some snot-nosed, newby, half-assed, whiny fan kinda jerks my chain. So you all get back to whatever circle you have created and I'll hope we don't have those mental lapses or possessions against really great teams where that kinda gameplay gets our asses beat. Where is CoolM when you need him?

Lattin's career high is signs. His prior 9 games have not been. As far as penetrating and kicking the ball out to three point launchers as signs of an inside game???? No sir.
