He'd be out recruiting and we would forget about his trespasses in a few years because he would be "our" coach and that stuff is easier to forgive when it's your guy.
I honestly think he learned from his mistakes and knows he had to clean up his act to get another gig.
I really think we missed out. I know some just didn't want him because of his past, but man he can coach.

Yep...
Tech got BCG, and Mizzou might get Matt Painter. That leaves OU in the dust unless they get Buzz.
Events in Columbia, Ames, and Lubbock have me concerned about OU being any good by comparison to the rest of the league for awhile.

Yep.
And when Billy causes no problems down at TT, a lot of folks are going to look foolish. OU is better than what we're likely to end up with. And that is a shame.

Exactly. This is the point of my frustration.
I'm not sure Buzz is the answer for this. Plus, I'm a little perturbed at him if the search was halted to wait for him and then he re-ups with Marquette.

Sorry but Buzz is not the counter to those. That counter would be Shaka ... or COULD IMO be Tad.
My only question about Tad is can he become a dynamic recruiter - but I have no question he can coach up what the school can naturally recruit.

I agree with you about Tad. I think he's an excellent coach even if he is a jayhawk.

yea, it's a bummer. i certainly wasnt in the BCG camp too hard but it wouldve been nice looking back on it.
a radio station here in dallas interviewed him last week (BCG and one of the radio team duo were college roommates) and i couldnt help but smile listening to him. he's certainly perfect for TTU, that's for sure. and maybe could have been for us.
i didnt pay much attention to him at A&M simply b/c it made me mad they were starting to get good! but he just seemed like a good ol' guy who loves the game and to coach. he's had personal issues in the past but he said it was always b/c he loved the game so much.

Why? If Bobby Knight couldn't win any moregames there than ****ey did,what makes you think BCG can do anything? Do you think BCG is a better coach then BMK? How long before BCG has another all too familiar lapse in judgement and has to be fired?

He signed a 6'7'' juco wing who averaged 12/5 as a juco freshman (on a team that sent 4 players to D1 schools) and will have 3 years to play. This about a week after being named head coach. Goff is the age of a college senior and is the 4th leading scorer and the 2nd leading rebounder on his juco team.

It is shocking that you would say that a juco player going to Tech is better than a juco going to OU. Shocking.
I fear for the entire conference if he's anywhere near as good as Brad Reese.
