Chamberlain keeps it going with a double. We desperately need to score at least one more run.

Some clutch hitting for us in the seventh. Now, we've got to hold them in the bottom half.

Damn that Fox!!!!

First pitch walk off. We worked Paige too hard getting out of jams caused by errors. She allowed three earned runs, but none were really earned. They were mistakes. We also misplayed some foul popups that resulted in singles rather than outs. She probably faced about six extra batters. Should have been 4-0 with decent defense.

I guess there's no use belaboring the fact, but those three errors cost us this game. The Zona pitcher threw well and kept us at bay most of the game. But our bats are too good to be shut down completely.

Anyhow, these teams better get us now. We'll have those problems corrected soon.

This team, albeit very talented, is learning how to play together. Really more surprised by the offense, or lack thereof. Georgia is a huge loss for this team as well, not only her defense, but her bat AND leadership. I think this team, like last year, will "get it" at some point near conference season. Too much talent not too. We also have a huge bullseye on our backs as well. Everyone want to beat the Sooners!

By the way, is the schedule set in this tournament (classic)? Or is there a chance we'll get Arizona again?

Schedule is set. We get San Diego State at 5:30. We had beaten Arizona eight times in a row. Of course, they do have eight national titles.

We almost had another rally in the bottom of the sixth (?) when they had a K, then a pop foul to third. Arnold and Shelby let if fall between them as both called for it. The batter and the next batter singled before Whitney picked one off first, and the other popped to Vest.

The misplay by Lauren and Erin cost two runs. Then, the misplay by Erin, then Lauren, and Vest cost two more. We were lousy in the field today. Had three errors. Should have been given five.

I was disappointed since the first pitcher, whom we didn't hit, only made nine appearances last year. She wasn't their primary starter. The person who relieved her on whom we scored all of our runs was an outfielder who had never pitched in college.

OU jumps out to lead against San Diego State.

Stevens got them out in the first. But, the first five hitters were 2-0 on Kelsey. She walked three. The sixth hitter hit a pop foul on the first pitch.

We got a couple of walks in the second, but did nothing with them. Kelsey three two strikes on the first two hitters, and struck them both out. The third got a ball, but she flied out.

Third: Paige doubled to right. I think that is the first extra base hit for her. She almost had a HR in the opener against Arizona.
Arnold popped to third on a bunt.
Vest doubled in Nirschi (running for Paige)
Nicole flied to left
Lauren singled to center, but Vest only made third, edit to say Vest scored.
Shelby struck out.
6-0
