With the pitching that LSU has it will not be easy for any team to take them out in the World Series. A lot of teams faced Nolan Ryan several times and most of the time they still couldn't hit him.

After playing most of the season away we have a break then play at home. I hope the pitching staff can get Stevens pitching well again. Being at home and having some time to work on her game should help. Good time to have a break.

I am under the impression that OU is going with Parker all the way now. We don't have any double headers. Kelsey is way way off. Not just a little. If she had pitched today, OU would have lost.

As for LSU, they gave up 17 runs at Florida in 3 games. They can be hit. There were too plays that really mattered this weekend. The first was on Friday when Lauren hit a ball to right that was a laser but it was directly at the RF who didn't have to move. The second was on Saturday when it was 4-2 in the the top of the 4th. OU had two runners and Kady Self hit a ball down the left field line, the LF caught it against the fence. It would have gone in Norman and changed the momentum of the game. The air was incredibly heavy with humidity the whole time in Baton Rouge. I think this is the first weekend that I have seen Lauren go 0 for the weekend. She hit a monster ball to left field today that cleared the palm trees and berm but it was slight foul.

Honestly, they were sloppy today as well. Gasso was not happy today even with the win. Just stuff that you normally never see - teams running on Whitney Ellis and her throws off. The struck out a girl today and ball got away and Whit threw it into right field. The batter did not run until after the throw went to right field and Callie Parson threw her out at first. It was a 1-2-9-3 Strikeout. Again, just sloppy play.

The road trip continues next week in Lubbock in conference opener at Texas Tech. LSU has played over 20 home games. They have a nice crowd and stadium. They were not obnoxious like they are in football.
