Senior Cameron Clark scored 20 points -- 15 in the second half -- on 9-for-13 shooting while freshman point guard Jordan Woodard (20) and sophomore forward Ryan Spangler (14), a transfer from Gonzaga, combined for 34 points in the 20-point win. The trio combined to shoot 64.7 percent from the floor (22-for-34), while Spangler added a game-high 11 rebounds and Woodard a game-high eight assists against two turnovers. OU shot 57.9 percent as a team (22-for-38) and forced 19 turnovers.

Spangler knocking down a couple of 3's is a surprise! I think he is going to be a great rebounder. Nice to see he has some range!

Lots of good stuff in these stats:

_OU shot 57.9% as a team
_92.9 % (13 of 14) from the free throw line
_A total of 14 steals (Hornbeak with 4, Booker and Cousins with 3 each)
_OU was a +25 on the boards with a total of 46 rebounds
_Two players (Woodard and Clark) lead the team in scoring with 20 each
_Spangler has a double-double (14 and 11) in his first game as a Sooner
_Bennett has a nice contribution off of the bench with 8 points, 9 boards and a block

Woodard's 20 points, 8 assists and only 2 turnovers, along with 2 steals and a block really stands out to me. He was also 3 of 4 from three point range, which means our opponents may not be able to leave him wide open the way they did Grooms last season.

Except for 3 turnovers, Spangler's stats are outstanding. I am surprised he had no trips to the FT line.

That will probably be an aberration this year. He knocked 3s down but he's a bruiser. Tyler has to translate what he does in practice to games. 1-7 shooting is not going to do it. Hamilton better be working on getting his weight down and his stamina up if wants he run with these guys. I really think they are going to push tempo this year.

Good start for the team. Hitting the century mark (even against unknown competition) is encouraging to me.

Good game by De Pooter. Also Luyten and Boeckaert going by just last names is pretty cool. Must be like the Belgian Pele or Ronaldo.

Although I never arrived at futbol correlations while reading the stat breakdown I do agree. My analogy was more along the lines of Sting or Bono.

These tournaments are a cool experience for the players but the best thing about them is that they allow coaches to play with lineups.

I think it was a big deal for OSU last year and this year OU will benefit from it.

Not only that but the extra practice time they got, and the bonding moments oversees will help with team chemistry. You guys seemed to have pretty good chemistry last year and I think being in a foreign country with only your teammates helps that.
