Given all of the discussion about HC at existing jobs, I'm surprised that this hasn't been discussed more. Not like we haven't had success in the past with a hot young assistant from a major program; however, college BB seems to be all about the HC, never hear much about the AC's really, at least not like you do in FB.

Given my affinity for Lon Kruger, it stands to reason one of his assistants is my choice if we hire an asst. coach. Here is the guy I would hire, if it were me:

From Wikipedia:
Steven Michael Henson (born February 2, 1968 in Junction City, Kansas) is a retired American professional basketball player, who was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2nd round (44th overall) of the 1990 NBA Draft. He is currently an assistant basketball coach at UNLV under his former college coach Lon Kruger.

In six seasons in the NBA, Henson played for the Bucks, Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Portland Trail Blazers and Detroit Pistons. During his NBA career, Henson appeared in 238 games and averaged 3.1 ppg.

Henson played collegiately at Kansas State University, where he was twice named to the All-Big Eight Conference first team and is Kansas State's all-time leader in assists. He also remains in the top ten on the all-time NCAA career free throw percentage list, with a .900 mark. He was also a Track & Field decathlete at Kansas State.

Here is a link to his bio on unlv's website:

He played for Lon at KSU and he was my favorite non-OU player of the Big 8. He was a great PG and very fun to watch.

Mo Cheeks

while everyone at the "bash" was scrambling to get pics with coach Brooks and KD and Westbrook there was me and another couple of old coots thoroughly excited to get our pictures with Mo Cheeks. It certainly made Mo smile.
