TCU at OU - Comments Thread

The TV announcers said that the Big 12 was the best RPI league in the country. Actually, I think we are 4th, but very close to the top 3.
 
70-44 with not enough time for TCU to catch up.

We've done what we needed to do. OU at least #2 in the conference is close to a given.

Peyton has a career high in threes.
 
I didn't see a single player play a bad game today. That's the only game all season I could say that.
 
Peyton is becoming routine. Two of those three-pointers as they saved the ball in to her. Nice win.

If Iowa State were to be upset at OSU, we would have a four-game lead with five to go.

Kay Kay played really well today. Had some turnovers. But, she was aggressive on the boards and on rebounds.

Gabbi has settled into point guard play at the D-1 level. She isn't making all of the mistakes. She made a couple. But, she is also a shooter and a defender.

Gioya was partially back, especially in the first half. She helped to build the lead. Seemed a bit off in the second half.

Sharane was steadier today than she has been: six points, seven boards, three turnovers. Had three nice assists.

I liked what Sherri had to say about the communication between Peyton and Maddie. "Just a basketball savvy connection without saying a word." Stat sheet is nuts. Maddie had a bunch of blocks and steals today. Peyton scored.

Sherri also had nice things to say about Vivi and McKenna. They bring different things to the court, and both are different from Kay Kay. They aren't just taking up minutes.

TCU usually scores a lot more.
 
If Iowa State doesn't get their act together at OSU, the Sooners will be up on the competition by 4 games with 5 to play.

That essentially means that OU is 2nd in the Big 12 at worst.

And they still have a slight chance of being first. I wouldn't bet on that.
 
Sub we all know you have a very over sized crush on Maddie. She had one block and a steal today regardless of what you think. She is a very good player but not a scorer. She turned down multiple wide open 3's. I think maybe it will come (scoring) but right now it's not there. Little is carrying us without Carter if they all hit it at the same time look out!

Did you watch the game, or are you simply regurgitating box scores?
 
Quite well, and I know what I saw. I also know what the announcers saw. They told us. What game did you watch?
 
Maddie has to find her rhythm as a scorer. On the other hand, that ball moved today like it hasn't all year. Peyton was on the nice end of a couple of them. The ball always moves better when Maddie is in. It looked good.

TT also looked good today. Flashes of a very good backup point.

And Gabbi looks so sound. She is getting better and better.

OU is four games up on Iowa State, TCU, Oklahoma State---all at 6-7.
If they were to win, K-State and WV could also be 6-7.
