Texas Tech's schedule

If we ever have a season where we only have one or two returning rotation players, maybe you make it a bit easier, but otherwise, I'm all for schedules like the one we are playing this season.

agreed. I like these close-to-home games on neutral courts ... especially Tulsa. Thats a real boon to statewide OU fans. Maybe a couple of non-conf games at LNC and the rest on the road or neutral.

Tough schedules are great when we win, but rough when we lose (I realize that's stating the obvious). Sometimes a young team or a team like this one with some new parts (and a key player, whatever one thnks of him, who has departed) needs a few games to get their legs under them.

We haven't really had any terribly close calls in our wins, but entering the season, one could easily imagine us having four or five losses by now. And I don't care how it gets spun, that would have sucked. Especially if by season's end we just missed out on the tourney.

Yes. In all candor, I thought going 7-4 in the first 11 games would be a stretch. My expectations have been greatly exceeded.

But even so, I like the tougher schedule. The risk is obvious, but the reward is obvious right now also. I'm not sure that you gain much with easy wins over Coppin State and the like. Win or lose, there is more opportunity to learn and improve by playing a challenging non-conference schedule.

Of course, it is so much better to win. :)

Fang Mitchell?

Duke shooting 37% from the field at halftime. Texas Tech's defense may be legit.

yeah watching this Tech/Duke game and Tech is a good team. Obviously they'll go as far as Culver takes them, but they play good defense and rebound well and run their offense efficiently.

if we defend Culver then Tech has significant issues.

Zion Williamson reminds me of a skinnier Oliver Miller.

OU is better than this Tech team. Sooners have more talent, Taco tech has more discipline.

They definitely aren't a fluke. Good team that plays hard. And I think they had more fans in MSG than we had in the LNC Tuesday.

Tech is clearly really good. The final score tonight is not indicative of how the game went. Tech gave Duke everything they could handle and then couldn't score late & Duke stretched It out. In was hoping Duke would blow them out butnitnsure looked like Tech is the 2nd best team in the conference.
