This thread is dedicated to one of our newest Sooners who has made quite an impact on the court through his first two games. One Calvin Newell from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The reason I make this thread is that I have personally communicated over the last few weeks and I have been very impressed with him. He absolutely loves being a Sooner and playing for our program. That is certainly something that some of our players that I will leave unmentioned did not feel last year.
He plays the game with passion and emotion on the court and I love his demeanor out there. I really think his heart and effort will rub off on some other guys and really help us once we hit our tough conference season.
But I have to say, the reason I like him the most is that he appreciates what The Capelables do for the basketball program. Myself and a few other posters on this board are Capelables and we work hard at what we do-trying to fill the LNC and making it loud once we are in there. Lord knows that is no easy task. Calvin is very fan friendly and is always willing to talk to us or any Sooner fan for that matter.
So when Calvin enters the game, and you hear the "40 Cal" chant coming from the student section, you will know where the admiration comes from.
