The NCAA Tournament Thread

New Mexico and Vanderbilt are lookin' pretty good right now.

Looks like I spoke too soon, Harvard down 6 with a minute to go.

Add the lane violation call as well. Syracuse needs to send the refs a thank you basket for this victory.

They had a rules guy on and he said the call was against the guy coming in from the three point line. don't know if that was a cya or not.

I got a chance to watch him from the bench when we played them in the playoffs. Got a sweet stroke for a big man. I don't know how he did the rest of the playoffs, but against us he did whatever he wanted. He's only a junior. I imagine he's headed to BYU, too?

You never know. I was impressed with the older brother. He seems like a nice player.

Outside of that UNC Asheville/Syracuse game, there wasn't much excitement in the first half of the day. Hopefully the second half provides more promise. I'm goin' with VCU pullin' the upset.

VCU/WSU looking to be a good one. I'd love to have some of the players from both these teams.

VCU's defense is just suffocating. Unreal. They lost 4 starters last year, and they still have better athletes in their starting lineup then we do.

A lot of these teams have players I'd like to have. They make us look like plowhorses.

I'll never understand how a school like WSU can get a kid like Stutz, a legit 7 footer that is coordinated and can score it in close, and we end up with Arent, Honore, Thompson, etc.

I think they have another one. He was in in the first half. I'm thinking they said there are three total between the two teams.

Maybe we can start getting some. I'd be happy to get someone like Whithey.

Agreed.

Shaka Smart is SO easy to like. Not sure what it is about him. I hate saying this, but he is what I thought Capel was going to be. Young. Energetic. But composed. You don't see him rolling balls to refs, and talking about Jay Z in his interviews. Hopefully he'll go somewhere after VCU where I can still root for him and his team.

That frantic keyboard typing noise you hear is abd scanning the travel sites to book his room for New Orleans.
