The NCAA Tournament Thread

Lots of upsets today. Just off the top of my head - Missouri, Duke, Temple, Michigan, SDSU, Memphis (very minor), Notre Dame, St. Mary's all lost as the higher seeded team today. That is 8 teams or 50% of the games and I may have missed someone.

Just for curiosity I checked Sagarin's ratings (as of 3/15/2012} for the 2 vs 15 teams involved in the upsets today. Missouri was #7 and Duke was #10. Norfolk St was #179 and Lehigh was #88. Missouri vs Norfolk St was definitely the biggest upset.

Duke losing in the first round is getting more play. Missouri being bad in the tournament isn't news. It's basically the history of the school. Has nothing to do with which upset was bigger.

Duke losing in the first weekend has only happened two times since 1997. Missouri has only gotten out of the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament three times since 1989 and one of those times was forfeited.

Unreal day of hoop. Really looking forward to KSU-Cuse, Baylor-CU, Marquette-Murray and Iowa State-Kentucky tomorrow.

Don't forget VCU/Indiana. I really think VCU has a good shot to win that game.

Didn't realize The Professor quit the And 1 Mix Tape tour and is playing for Kansas State.

Like Dickey V but wished he had been doing the Duke game so he could have vomited all the BS about the Dukies.
Noticed the experts had all kinds of excuses for Duke.
Hopefully Mr Arrogant, Roy Williams, the crybaby of all of basketball will get bounced soon.

Try telling that to people around here. Those arrogant pr#cks had their tickets to NO punched already. They couldn't wait to dance on the graves of the other Big12 schools. Instead they were the first one to go home. Awfully quiet around here.

And I'm sorry, but the Flagrant 1 they just called on Indiana is stupid. That is a dumb rule.

At halftime of this Colorado/Baylor game I was expecting to see the Phillips 66 Studio.

They're saying now it was because he was wired $200 by his AAU coach on Monday.

I wonder why the money wasn't wired to Samuel's Mom, no one would be the wiser?

Of course, Derek Rose's "handlers' lived in Memphis the entire year he was in school at Memphis with no jobs. Wonder how that works?

Me, too. lole
The announcers said earlier that CU offered their students a flight, hotel and 2 game tickets for 50 dollars. All that Pac12 money being put to good use maybe?
