Have to agree, in that an OSU loss never ruins my day. I wonder if GIA will be half full.

The Flopper will be under the microscope as ESPN and the rest will build up the story of his return. Alas, the game will be carried on the Big 12 Network.

I don't agree. I certainly think he shouldn't be getting as many calls, but I've seen little evidence that the officials are finally "on" to him. In his last four games he's shot 10, 9, 11 and 13 free throws.

I predict Tubby's Techsters WILL defeat the Aggies. The Red Raiders are playing as well as any team in the conference, and OSU…well, not so much, with or without Smart.

This season is turning out to be a long and painful one for those poor aggies.

Sky, we're usually on the same page with most things, but not this time. I saw plenty of evidence that Smart was not getting the calls he had been rewarded with before. I think that's one of the things that led to his frustration.

When the adverse flopping publicity peaked nationally, the officials caught on and began to ignore his attempts to draw a charge. Not every time, but a lot more often than in previous games. He was also getting more blocks called on him, which is why he found himself on the bench with foul trouble in several games.

I don't think the officials will have any sympathy for Marcus when he returns. My guess is the little fit he threw in Lubbock when he stuck his finger in the official's face didn't go unnoticed by Big 12 officials. Not that they would go into a game with a personal vendetta. I just don't think they will be eager to do him any favors.

I do want to see them beat K-state and Iowa State....only because it would help us in the standings.

Good point. I may have to change the way I think about OSU from now on.

So, you're saying things have gotten so bad OSU fans are hoping you'll lose? I can see how that would hasten Ford's departure. That, and a growing number of empty seats. I can remember the time when Bedlam in the GIA would be standing room only.

You can say that all you want, but they are still our in-state rival, and a team that has landed a good number of recruits that our staff wanted. Them having a down turn definitely helps us.

So, you're saying things have gotten so bad OSU fans are hoping you'll lose?

I'm sure some fans feel that way. I wouldn't say that "I'm hoping" we lose, because I really do feel like the players are strill trying really hard....

But I will say that the losing doesn't really bother me now, because I do think that each loss makes it more likely that Ford will be gone after this year.

I think him coaching as more or less a lame duck next year would be a total disaster.

This. Can you imagine what GIA would look like next if we're, say, 14-16 and in 9th place in the league again? Those Wednesday night games will be lucky to draw 6,000 people.

Actually, I'm for osu having its charter revoked and ceasing to exist as an institution....
