Proud of the way our guys faught all game. Road wins are tough to come by in this league, even harder when you have to beat the refs too. That win streak gave us a little cushion, and there are a lot of winnable games left!

We are still in great position in the Big 12 and nationally. Let's a take a deep breath and move onto next week! Let's go Sweep UT and Tech this week!

I hate blaming games on officiating, but they sure did make it dang near impossible to get anything going all game! Ugh..

I agree with that. To play as poorly as we did on the road and to have a chance to win at the end is really pretty amazing. This was always a 50-50 game in my mind.

We are going to have to shoot the ball better next time because there will be another game like this in the tournament.

Ou was going against 2 opponents and they knew it and almost pulled off the win.

We did, however, just got swept by a team with a losing record....

That is true. BUT, a lot of KSU's losses came without Foster... And he was at his best both games against us. It's not much of an excuse, but it's pretty obvious that they are a MUCH better team with him. Heck, they were in the top 3 or 4 of the league before he went MIA for awhile...

He makes them better, but not that much. They'll still finish 8th in the league.

I am very troubled by yet another loss in a tight game. We have now lost every single game we've played this year that was in doubt late. The OSU game in Stillwater was kind of close, but not really. All of the games that have come down to final possessions have been losses and I find that troubling and why I'm still skeptical of this team's chances to make any real noise in March.

Playing poorly in close games and most games away from home does not give much reason for optimism about the postseason.

The sky is not falling, but this is why I am extremely upset. We can't win close games. We're snakebitten going back to last year and the North Dakota State game (actually happened before that). Kruger is 0-fer in post-season, 0-fer in OT games, and not much better in games decided by less than 5 points. We lack a leader like Foster who wants to win worse than everyone else on the court. I think that Spangler can be that player, but he can't handle the ball in crunch time ...

Three came without Foster. And they probably would have only been favored to win one of those three even with him.

KSU played a lot of bad basketball even with Foster playing. And he didn't exactly kill us tonight. They pulled away without him on the court, and he took a lot of shots to get those 14 points.

Once again, a lack of toughness.

The possessions that killed OU were Hield and Cousins both taking quick shots when OU was down like 7 with 3:00 left. Better possessions then may have created a different outcome (free throws, betters shots, etc.)

It didn't help that Spangler was on the bench, he's OU's toughest player. Cousins is a tough player like once every three games, the other games he struggles big time.

As much as I like this team, I have so little confidence they can win in the NCAA Tournament.

Disappointing for sure,

We ll be fine, once March comes around we ll have put ourselves in a good spot to win a game or 2 in the tourney as a top 6 seed. If that actually happens will depend on match ups and how ready our guys are to step up their game and meet the challenge which they haven't proven yet in March.

1 thing I've come to grips with is that this team and its style of play is going to lend itself to losses like last night. It doesn't mean we suddenly stink or the sky is falling we re just not elite and we re going to have nights where we play really ugly and lose to a lesser team. It's also why a road W against a TCU team that plays hard is a good win for this team.

I'm just writing this game off. A lot of things went against us and we still could've won the game. We kept fighting and that's why I'm not too upset. I'm confident that we will handle our next 3 games. Our final two games (@ISU, KU) will determine whether we finish in outright 2nd place or tied for 3rd. If that ends up being the case, we will probably end up playing WV, Texas or even KSU on Thursday evening in the first round of the Big 12 tournament. I think that is good season based on the strength of the Big 12.
