The Team That Started It All!

I remember this team well! My wife and I were season ticket holders back then. Two Ada girls, LaNeisha Caufield and Caton Hill, were starters. Bo Overton was an assistant coach. Now you know why we made the trip from Ada to attend every game we could.

I wish we could be at this celebration! This team is so deserving of the recognition! They were great—the best OU women’s team ever in my biased opinion!

No question Dales, Caufield and Hill were the key members of the 2002 team. But Jennifer Cunningham and Dionnah Jackson, Rosalind Ross, Jamie Talbert, Shannon Selmon and Theresa Schuknecht all had their moments as well.

No question Dales, Caufield and Hill were the key members of the 2002 team. But Jennifer Cunningham and Dionnah Jackson, Rosalind Ross, Jamie Talbert, Shannon Selmon and Theresa Schuknecht all had their moments as well.

I would rank Ross up with the other three. Had she not been injured and in pain, I think she probably would have been even better than one or all of those three. But it is what it is and she was injured, so iirrevelant.
