The Wheels Continue to Fall Off

Could be worse. Could be Missouri.

We had a player arrested for assault today… twice.

Additionally, assistant coach Steve Middleton will not return to the staff, sources told the World on Thursday. Middleton, who worked primarily with post players, was coach Travis Ford’s first hire and followed Ford to OSU from Massachusetts.

Didn't need him because they have literally no post players.

Is Synder back? All that's missing is Ricky Clemons on an ATV. :capelspin

Zach Price sees Ricky Clemons' ATV and raises him ramming his roommate's car multiple times while they're driving down the street.

Also, rumor is his roommate was also a teammate. So at least we have unity on the roster…

The way Ford coaches, Williams leaving could be a blessing for that team. He loves taking his SF's and putting them at the 4. This way it might force him to put Nash at the 3 at all times and use Cobbins, Murphy and Solomon down low at all times.

Last year when Williams went out with his injury, they looked so much better b/c he was forced to use Jurick. Then when he came back, Jurick's minutes went way down and they didn't look as good.

it really must suck to be a SF in the Travis Ford offense. Nash, Muonelo, Franklin, Williams all forced to play the 4.

Finally a transfer that doesn't hurt APR. Williams is actually a graduating Senior that will do the 5th year transfer thing.

Hope Nash goes to the NBA too.

Nash is NOT an NBA caliber player. He's way too small to play the 4 and his outside shooting isn't near good enough to play the 3. He's kind of a tweener like Ryan Humphrey was.

If Osby can't make an NBA team, no way Nash does!

Point is, that's not likely to change with another year under Ford. Depends on how much emphasis Nash puts on his education and playing at that "hell hole".

He can start making the only money he was ever going to make by moving to Europe or Mexico right away.

You amaze me with your ability to spin positives...

Many aren't but it doesn't stop me from wishing he goes. I hate OSU that much. By the way Nash with the right coaching is as good as Osby.

I've never got the feeling that Nash is willing to work hard enough to be that good no matter the coaching.

Well Tiny Gallon had a bad coach and was lazy and he still is in the D League.

And playing well... Turned down a good size $$$ offer overseas to stay and try to latch on with an NBA team...

My OSU co-workers tell me that Williams was a colossal disappointment this season. They say from all accounts he's a good kid and will graduate on time but it's not a big loss for the program. He played really well for them as a RFr. but broke his wrist and seemingly has never recovered or lost his desire.

He really fell off this year. He'd of had a lot of opportunity next year though. Hard to say whether it's good or bad. If ford lands the two graduate transfers he's after you could say it was a good move. If he brings in one of his many juco failures then it's definitely a bad thing.

He played really well in the first half of this season, but seemed to be in Ford's doghouse for whatever reason in the second half of the season.

He lost his starting job to Forte and we even second off the bench (to Leyton Hammons) for a while toward the end of the year.

Ho Hum. Another off-season, another contributing player transferring away.

Nothing to see here...

:facepalm
