I don't think anyone was giddy.

When you are forced to start over and have 9 players who have never played D1 basketball before, it's pretty much a given that you will struggle to win games. Having said that, I'd rather watch this team lose games than last years teams lose games.

With Kyle hardrick coming off the bench.

So I don't think anyone who wants to argue Capel signing these players has a valid argument. It's not like he miss evaluated these guys and passed up on others. He signed who he could.

I must have missed those posts. On the whole, posters here were very realistic about the prospects of a decent season with a team made up of nine new faces. Very few posters thought we would win enough games to make the post season. Most, including me, said they would be thrilled beyond belief if OU exceeded last year's 13 wins.

What we didn't expect, however, was a team that is still searching for an identity seventeen games into the season. Even our starting lineup changes from one game to the next. And, in view of how inconsistent all but a couple of our players have been, that may be a good thing.

That's not true. There were several top notch JUCO guys that OU missed on. Capel should have seen the storm coming and he just didn't prepare for it.

Correct, but Franklin would be starting and playing 30+ minutes a game and Hardrick would be the only other player on the team and would be playing 20+ minutes a game. We are in much better shape now than we would have been without signing Nick, CJ, Neal and Blair.
