Leaders by percentage in conference play:

Gioya- 72%
Kornet- 43%
Gabbi- 41%
Sharane- 29%
Peyton- 11% (2 of 18)

I did not include anyone with less than 5 attempts.

Both Peyton and Maddie turn down 3 pointers as obviously they don't have confidence in that part of their game right now. If those two can improve their 3 point shooting into the mid 30s range, this team will not only have a bunch of weapons, they will be able to unleash those weapons in a variety of ways. Guard them close and they drive into the lane or pass inside to Kaylon. Sag off and they will bury the 3.

Gioya's outside shooting has been unreal in conference play.

I think Maddie is 3 of 5 in D-1 play. In the first game that he did, Billy Tubbs said that Maddie was sensational in practice shooting three pointers. She made one the day that he said that. She just doesn't shoot it, and her only recent attempts have been to beat the shot clock. I wonder if it just isn't that she is doing what she is told is most important right now, and that is not her shooting of three pointers. Sherri wants her to get to the rim and make sure that others get open shots. It's all about getting spot up three point shooting, and she is usually the one creating the shot, not getting it.

I agree, I don't think there is one ounce lack of confidence in Maddie right now. I do believe she looks for a better percentage shot first for her self or team mate before looking from out side. She has a sweet stroke and will take them when she thinks its viable not because she lacks confidence.

Maybe, Maddie is saving a surprise for Baylor----or UConn in the Final Four.

Peyton was 3 of 5 today, because she set herself well on shots. She is now 5 for 23 in conference play.
