Who ya got for the first upset of the day (excluding 7/10 and 8/9 games)?

I'm going to say Maryland and/or KU losing a little later in the day. NMS is an option, but they haven't played anybody this year. Really tough to gauge them. They had a lot of close games against pretty crappy teams. Did play KU tough though.

538's article this morning is a bit perplexed. Usually, several lower-seeded teams are outright favorites to win in their computer model. This year? Only Oklahoma is.

For me personally, I'll take Belmont over Maryland. 11 seed play-in teams always seem to do better than you would expect.

I also wouldn't be shocked to see Vermont take down Florida State, but that's mostly because I know nothing about Florida State.

Yale vs. LSU is interesting to me... LSU has their coach suspended and is distracted with a scandal, and Yale is pretty good.

Florida taking out Nevada looks interesting as well.

I don't know what to make of Wofford. They're obviously pretty good, since they're 26-4 overall... but they're 1-4 against P6 opponents.

Losses: UNC, @Kansas, @Oklahoma, @Mississippi State
Win: @South Carolina (by 20)

All their other good wins are against teams like Furman and UNC-Greensboro, both of which were borderline tournament teams that they swept.

I'd love to pick them deep into the tournament, but I have this sneaking feeling they won't get by Seton Hall tonight.

Praying for the old Nor’easter to blow kansas of the map.

I'd be very surprised to see Vermont beat this FSU team. This Seminole team is incredibly deep and they play scrappy defense. I think they will wear Vermont out.

1st round upset picks:
St Mary’s
Arizona St
Murray St

Minnesota looks like the better team aginst Louisville so far. It's a close game but still Minnesota has dominated on the boards and seems more comfortable in it's offense.

He isn't talked about much (that I know of).....but Naz Reid for LSU is a helluva player.

I took Minnesota just because it’s in Des Moines. Pretty deep analysis.

Yes he is. He is a load .. very strong post play on both ends.

I just googled the NBA draft and he is projected to go in the top 20. Apparently, we aren't the only ones who think he is pretty good. I just haven't watched much of LSU until late in the season.....and he was a beast in the SEC tournament.

Louisville is down by 14 now with just over seven minutes left.

Gotta love the NCAA Committee’s game inside the game by matching Richard Patino’s team with the school that fired his father.

Revenge can be sweet, even if it’s at the hands of your son.

can't believe how good Minnesota looks in this game. I saw them play 2x this season and they looked HORRIBLE. They were really pumped for this one.

since denny crum left I can't find it in me to root for Louisville.
