If Baylor, WVU and OSU all finish tied for 6th at 8-10 who gets the 6 seed, and consequently the 7 & 8 seeds? It would kinda suck to finish 2nd then have to play a surging Baylor or OSU squad in the first round.

I think Baylor gets the 6 because they are 3-1 in the round Robbin between those three which are tied. Then OSU which is 2-2 gets the 7 and WVU which is 1-3 gets the 8 seed.

I'm not worried about Baylor or OSU... They may be surging right now, we match up really well with both of those teams. They may look dangerous, but there is a reason they are in this predicament. They have less than avg. coaching, and they do not play well as a team.

Barring an upset in Round 1 by Tech or TCU, we're going to play a good team in Round 2 of the Big 12 tournament. That's the nature of the field.

I'd like to avoid osu, and either of ksu and isu in Kansas City. Most likely according to the generator we will face osu in our fist game and they'll have a game under their belt already. best case would be to have wvu beat Kansas in Morgantown which would put osu, ksu, and isu all on the other side of the bracket. otherwise I'd like to see osu move up to 6th and go to Kansas's side of the bracket. that would happen if osu beats isu Saturday.

What I want to happen:

OU win out
OSU win in Ames
ISU beat Baylor tonight
KSU beat Baylor Saturday
WVU lose to us tomorrow and lose to KU on Saturday

Under those circumstances:

OU gets the 2 seed
OSU gets the 6 seed
WVU gets the 7 seed
Baylor gets the 8 seed

We would then play WVU in the second round, and likely get OSU in the third round. I think OSU would beat Texas.

you're right, I read the bracket wrong, we don't want wv to beat ku. I wish there was a way yo move osu to 8th though, but can't happen.

For a while, it looked like OSU and Baylor could be the 8 and 9 seeds. That would've been great. Winner of that would've played Kansas. Too bad that won't happen.

I just want OSU to be that 6 seed and get WVU or Baylor as the 7. I don't see us beating OSU for a 3rd time (it's always tough to beat a team 3 times no matter who, but teams with good players moreso), so if we lose in the semi's it would hurt and would be annoying to hear OSU fans be in the finals but would still be funny at what a crap show their season was with that talent.

Just want at least 1 win in the Big 12 tourney, seal up a 4/5 seed and get ready for the tourney.

I understand why one would think this way, but I for one am not afraid of a OSU matchup. Remember, there is a reason why OSU can only go as high as a 6 seed, and a three game suspension for MS is not the sole reason. OSU is a team which lacks depth, and are very undisciplined. Not only this, but they have Travis Ford at the healm. Could we lose to OSU? Of course, but they are not as a difficult matchup than one might think. We are the better team and will win a third matchup which I believe will happen regardless of seeding.

I'm not nearly as confident as you. They have a lot of talent even if it isn't deep.

No disagreement here on the talent. What I am saying is that what got them to their 7 game losing streak will rear it's ugly head again. And depth is one of those reasons.

I know it would be a de facto "road" game, but I would not mind playing KSU in a semi. They are HORRIFIC away from Manhattan.

That is absolutely right! The only team I fear is KU. But I still think a win is possible, but unlikely.

If both OU and KU reach the Big XII finals (and I believe that is a likely scenario), I actually feel pretty good about our chances in that game. We've played them close both times and we did not play our best in either game. If a couple of our guys (Hield, Booker) shoot treys like they're capable of, we have a good chance to beat the squawks and win the tournament.

Could a possible 3-seed suddenly become a 2?
