So mock drafts are coming out and they have Orton cracking the lottery and Tiny in the 2nd round or undrafted.

Tiny is very underrated in this draft. He is head and shoulders above Orton. I'm not going to say he is better than Cousins, but the gap is not that wide either.

I bet Tiny is going to be a big rising star in the pre draft camps. There is a reason he led the McDonalds AA game in scoring and had 23-15 vs Baylor, 13-18 vs Okie St, and 15-9 vs Texas. Because he's a stud.

He was just stuck on a crappy team with a selfish point guard.

If he continues busting his butt during his workouts and training regimen he will get his shot.

Varnado for Miss St is the equivalent of Udoh for Baylor.

Cousins vs Varnado/Miss St in 2 games went for 29 points and 24 rebounds.
Gallon vs Udoh/Baylor in 2 games went for 40 points and 20 rebounds.

The gap is not that wide vs Cousins. One of them just played on a good team so he is getting brownie points because of his teammates. Good grief Orton is getting brownie points for riding the pine on a better team.

Tiny's main issue is getting in game shape. Well he will be working on that instead of wasting time on classes.

I'm not going to counter the Baylor-OU matchup because I wasn't able to watch either game, but isn't the "Gallon/Udoh" matchup misleading, since Baylor's defensive set is a 2-3? Its not like Gallon was flourishing vs. Udoh if that was the case, since he didn't face him one-on-one throughout the game. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Tiny is without a doubt head and shoulders above Orton. I think Orton made the right decision by coming out this year because if he would have came back next year I doubt he cracks the lottery like he probably will. He may end up being a good NBA player I just think that Tiny is way better than Orton is.

Warren made amistake not coming out last year, Tiny probably made a good move coming out this year. Lots of teams kicking themselves for not going with the guy from Pitt last season (kicking myself for not remembering his name), Tiny is a bigger and more nimble version of that dude IMHO.

orton is an nba defender and rebounder now... gallon is an nba talent... but he hasnt proven to be a hard enough worker... he has a big upside, he has a lot of talent... but he hasnt proven to be nba ready at anything but upside...

And there you go.

Orton is an NBA defender and rebounder because he sat on the bench? Surely if he was so NBA ready he would have found his way onto the court a lot more.

He no where near ready for anything in the NBA now. Orton would have been on the court more this year if he was a NBA ready defender and rebounder. He may end up having a good career but he will need some time to develop.

Dejuan Blair? I like this comparison, but Blair seems much more of a workhorse on the court. He fought for every rebound in the games I saw. He seemed more of an "energy" guy who actually had some skill, rather than Tiny, who's a skill guy who "might" give you some energy here or there.

Hopefully Tiny does well, but he's going to have to work his a** off to be as good as Jefferson.

Agreed on your Blair assessment.

Tiny making it in the NBA and being a solid player is plausible, but no way he will compare to Jefferson, pre or or post injury.

I have no idea how good (or bad) Daniel Orton is BUT I know how bad Tiny was this year.If you think Tiny is going to be on an NBA roster next year I think you must mean Tiny Archibald not Tiny Gallon.Tiny Gallon is overweight, lazy, immature, and has a basically undeveloped game.IF he drops thity ponds, develops a 15 foot jumper, learns to use his considerable physical strength to exhibit a postup game which to this point has not been viewed in any game in the past year; Tiny MIGHT be in the NBA next year.Don't get me wrong I do think Keith Gallon has the talent level to play in the NBA but does NOT have the work ethic, basketball IQ,maturity or polished skills .Three years of hard work in college,Europe,D-league,or CBA(does it still exist?) could get Keith in the league at least that is more likely than a sudden MIRACULOUS offseason improved Gallon being NBA ready next year.

Tiny was brilliant in short spans but often just disappeared when he was not on the bench for fouls.

I'm not sure the NBA will pick up Tiny on his talent alone. I will not be suprised if he is drafted and if he is not he may get a free agent contract.

He has to approach the game differently than he did at OU to succeed in the NBA.
