Will OU play in OKC for the first rounds? I was about to buy tickets and just wanted to make sure...

Also does anyone have any suggestions on where to buy Big 12 tournament tickets? I tried through Sprint Center and they sold out before it was my turn... Any help would be appreciated!!

Nothing is guaranteed yet, but it's extremely likely. If OU winds up as a 4 seed or better, they're almost certain to get a spot in OKC.

At this point your only options for Big 12 tickets are (a) thru the university (b) stubhub or (c) outside the sprint center during tournament weekend.

If you are a donor I'm sure you can get them thru the university because I don't think we have used our allotment in a long time at least it doesn't seem like it.

Stubhub will be expensive but they are out there.

I'm going to buy mine outside the Sprint Center but my office is basically across the street from the Sprint Center so it's very easy for me to pop out at lunch and catch the opening game (if we are the 1 seed; game is usually at noon).

Ok Thanks for the information.. I would be coming from the Wichita area so I wanted my tickets in hand or to pick them up there. Stub Hub seems really expensive so I might just come up early Thursday morning and try out front.

My buddy is a KU and WSU fan so we bought the tickets to OKC already hoping OU and those other teams might be there..

They are always available. Also, if it ends with OU as 1 and KU/ISU as the 2/3, their will be so many tickets available for the Thursday morning session and they will be for cheap. The KU/ISU fans will sell their tickets and stay at the bar. Even if one of them is 2/3 specifically KU, then lots of tickets will be available. Friday you will probably have to pay a little more unless one of those teams loses on Thursday but Saturday if both of those teams are gone, then tickets will be rock bottom cheap.

ISU is looking more like the 4/5/6 seed than the 3 seed. That will hurt us for prices unless we fall to the 2 line.

I think it's pretty much a guarantee that we'll be in OKC for the NCAA opening rounds.

Agreed. I bought all session tickets and didn't flinch; it would be stunning if OU doesn't wind up getting slotted in OKC. They would have to crash so incredibly badly down the stretch in order to lose out on being at The Peake. I think it's as close to a lock as it gets.

I know they say the field is all competition/fairness based, but no doubt they take their vendors and $$$ into account as well. OU as a #1 seed NOT placed in OKC simply makes zero sense across the board.

Tmeyer, I live in Wichita and bought tickets for OKC. I think the odds are pretty strong they will go. I have pretty decent tickets (corner upper...not behind basket) and may have to sell if I cannot get out of work that Friday.

top 4 seeds are protected which means they go to a very close 1 st round sight. I sais should because the only way we wouldn't get OKC is if we drop like 6 or 7 of our last 10
