Tourney Seeding Now Determined

Texas will win over TCU and capture the #6 seed as we expected. They are well ahead ( by 26) at 2 minutes.

West Virginia is leading Kansas State by a bit with 5 minutes or so left.

Kansas State won, mostly on the basis of an extra 16 free throws.

Texas won on the basis of dominating TCU. They play again in Dallas Saturday.

So the seeds are exactly as predicted in the 1st post in this thread.

I will be pulling for Tech and Kansas to have upsets just because I want their teams to do well. I don't expect nor want either to go further than the first round. I still believe it is good for OU if Baylor makes it to the tournament finals. I am then pulling for OU to be there and beat them no matter how that affects the conference ranking or the Big 12 teams in the NCAA tourney.

+1!

I expect you are exactly right. And I expect the Big-12 will have 2 or 3 teams make the sweet 16. We will see.

I'd love to see 2 teams in the 16. What worries me is the seedings and the placements. We could rapidly see the conference drizzle to 1 or zero if the seeding gods are against us.

We aren't the usual situation. Lots of very young teams after the conference graduated huge amounts of talent in the last 2 years. But I love the players we have (as a conference).

This conference just might put 2 or more teams in the Final 4 within the next 3, even the next two years. It's happened before.
