I disagree big time. Yes Price was fantastic BUT Tisdale was better IMO. Tisdale was EASILY a better college player as he AVERAGED a double double and was a 3 time first team All-American. Even in the Pro's Tisdale had similar stats as Price over 12 years AND won a Gold medal in the Olympics. No one could stop Tis from scoring.

I also was at the game when Georgia Tech came to Norman and they had Price/Salley/and others. OU got down like 12 to 14 points BUT Tisdale, in a head to head matchup with Price, led OU back to defeat GT in one of the loudest games I have ever attended. Tisdale absolutely dominated Price - Salley and their pros the second half.

RIP W. Tisdale!!!!!!!!!!!

Blake Griffin is gonna be in that argument too. I don't think there will have been a better pro out of this state when he's done in the NBA.

I would definitely agree with you. Whatever you do don't try and argue with BT. I occasionally email him when he writes something I don't like. He always just says I'm right, you're wrong and moves on. Never tries to offer any reasoning to defend his side.

I used to enjoy Trammel's articles and listening to him on the radio. But this last football season he was so negative towards OU and so pro osu I finally had enough and cancelled my newspaper subscription. Of course I haven't heard his radio for years cause I no longer can stomach the sports animal.

Price was a 4 time allstar who made the rarified air of 1st team all NBA. Even more rare he was the second player in history (Larry Bird) to join the 50-40-90 club.

He's easily the most accomplished player in oklahoma history. Blake does have a chance to challenge him but it won't be easy. When you make 1st team all nba you're recognized as the best player in the entire world at your position, let alone a small state like Oklahoma.

Its Griffin. The only reason we don't give it to Griffin is b/c he's at the beginning of his career and We already know what those guys have done. Griffin has averaged over 20ppg 3 out of his first 4 seasons in the NBA.

Sorry, he was ONCE a first team and 3 times a 3rd team. Agree to disagree no way will I EVER aree with that. And Blake WILL be the best easily after his career is over - No question.

Blake is playing during a pretty weak time in the NBA. Kobe is crap. Wade is getting old. Not a lot of established, in their prime stars right now, other than LB.

KD? Chris Paul?

There are rarely more than 2 or 3 transcendent players in the league at a time.

All those guys are/were great players, and I find it difficult to pick between them. I respect each of them for their accomplishments earned during the era in which they play/played.

I also put Alvan Adams right there with them.

A weak time for big guys maybe. But it is a strong era for guards.

Cousins needs to quit shooting.

KD yes. Chris Paul? Really? Dude isn't even in that conversation. Injuries may be a factor in that, but still.

Lebron and Melo are two of the top scoring guards ever. Lebron will go down as a top 5 player. Kobe was at the top of hos game in this era.

CP3 isn't in the conversation of established in his prime stars?
Dude is a future first ballot Hall of Famer who is 28 years old and averaging over 11 assists this season.

Are you one of those people that also claim athletes are better today than they were 25+ years ago? I just dont buy these arguments that guys are better today or were better in the past. It is the NBA. Who cares if Kobe isn't as good as he once was. Now we have Durant, Westbrook, Lebron, Griffin, paul etc.

Paul is good no doubt but I think he's a little overrated. Upon further review his stats are outstanding. He needs to translate them into post season success.

The NBA is thriving right now.
It hasn't been this good to watch since about '92.

You can argue that Blake is playing during a weak era for big men.

Blake griffin is already the best Oklahoma player ever, mark price not even close to what griffin has done
