Transfer thread

"Why do you have to make every post about Moser?" "LOL." "Why do you have to make the same point in every thread?" "Can't we just enjoy the season?"

Did I do that right?

I was knocking Sean miller. But I knew you couldn’t answer straightforward …

If you say so. But to answer, we will find out over the next three months, just like with all our guys who left. At the very least, he isn't out of shape any more. I suspect that his best basketball was played at Pitt.

Hugley has done almost nothing so far for Xavier, despite his weight loss and the fact that one of their other bigs is out with injury. Apparently his weight was as high as 314 when he arrived at Xavier, and he committed himself to getting in shape.
What a doofus. Guy is a poor man's Oliver Miller.

Cooper with 16 and 9 today. Averaging just under 15 and 9 on the year. Their schedule hasn’t been great, but they have played four teams significantly better than anyone we have played.

I want Cooper to play well and wish he was still at OU. But Louisiana Tech schedule is why I think the strength of schedule is off.
They have played 6 games. 1 against an NAIA school, I against NCAA II. Don't count in ratings. So because the play 1 decent other team in sos they get credit as a better schedule then OU? Again, I am not happy with OU schedule either, but they are least playing division I teams.

Louisiana tech has played Souther Illinois who has 2 wins and I is against a division 2 team.
UT Arlington is 2-5 with both wins against NAIA.
Umass is 1-5 with only win over New Hampshire who is 2-8

not sure how they are significantly better then anyone OU has played.

They have played two teams in the 100s and two teams in the 200s. We have played four teams, none better than 320 or 330. These aren’t my numbers. Check any site you want that measures teams. We have currently played the worst schedule in the country. That will obviously change a bit over the next three days, but as of this second, Tech has played four games against much better competition. My only point was to preemptively reply to anyone who was going to say that his numbers don’t matter because of the competition. If that’s the case, then no one on our team has numbers that matter yet.

No, you were preemptively trying to dig at OU before anyone had a chance. Congrats.

100’s, 200’s. Are you talking Overall rankings or schedule strength? Cause a team that only has wins against naia teams is still being based on preseason ratings and not what had happened in season so far. It’s probably to early to say significantly better.

And check it after the game against Providence today who is ranked on that website as the #70 ranked team. When I posted about this last week, ISU and UCONN both were ranked lower than OU then the games this week happened, and they are no longer anywhere close to the bottom of the list.

I don't get the constant complaining about the schedule OU has? It's already completed, it's not going to change so why continue to complain about it? Some keep saying it's "fact" of how bad the opponents are but at least OU has won them all. If they start losing to all of the teams they play above 300 we all know where that's going to lead anyway.

You are correct, stats at this time don't matter. Great to look at but we only have 4 games. Oweh is off to a great start at Kentucky, but he was off to a great start at OU last year and fizzled out down the stretch for various reasons. I hope he does well as for the most part I want players to prosper. The fact is a team at 150 kenpon overall rating that is 2-5 may increase to 70 or may end up going to 300 by the end of the season. This is somewhat were I have a problem with comparing our SOS. You are telling me that its easy to decide a 2-5 team should be rated 151 and another 2-5 team rated 300. That difference is a major SOS factor right now. More games need to be played for that to settle out.

Our overall strength of schedule will not be last in the nation, are non con will not be last in the nation when complete. But we should be playing better competition.

Not sure if directed at me, since I was quoted. Just providing context going into the game. No complaints, just context.

As you can see, Providence also has the 2nd worst SOS.
