Danni Williams, 5-10, Jr G of A&M is also a grad transfer who is visiting with Anriel at UConn this weekend.

I believe Sherri has taken less than 5 transfers in her tenure (and it may be less). I doubt she will go after any of these seriously.

It would be OK with me if she did, but I think transfers are the same thing as a walk-on. She doesn’t like them or want them.

She may be too close to getting the team she wants with four-year players. If you look past this year, she has a core:

Shaina, Ana
Madison, Nydia, Tatum, Tayor, Jessi, Aspen

If you get a post this year and were to get lucky and pick up Scott, Amihere and Hayley Jones, or even two of them, you have about 11 or 12 really good players. You can keep that going.

Wasn’t Jeffcoat a transfer in? That’s the last one I can remember.

Jeffcoat was a fairly-highly ranked recruit out of Plano, 4th best center. I think Little was the last transfer to play.

Yes, Jeffcoat was Top 100 by at least one service. Peyton was ranked 24 out of high school by All Star Girls Report, I think.

If you want to get technical Rich was the last transfer-in we've had, but she never really played. Before her was Treece, who initially picked K-State before Patterson got fired, then transferred to OU before her freshman year began. Jeffcoat transferred out after two years I think, as she never played and was not a contributor. If you think about it, we've had a TON of girls transfer out the last few years...most of them never really got any PT though, so it's not been that obvious.

I was specifically thinking of girls who had transferred in and I believe that Jeffcoat was the last player who transferred in and Sherri only took her because we wanted her brother for the football team.

Jacqueline Jeffcoat was the twin of Texas football player Jackson Jeffcoat. They were recruited as a pair but her brother chose to go to Texas instead of OU. She transferred from OU to play for Texas State.

Their father was Jim Jeffcoat that played for the Dallas Cowboys.

Unfortunately we have way more girls transfer out than in. I REALLY hope Anriel Howard comes to OU, but our recent lack of success in the NCAA Tourney could be a roadblock for any legit transfer to pick us this year. I hope we pick up a couple more legit players in this class!

I wouldn't be surprised to see both Anriel Howard and Danni Williams at UConn or A&M. I don't know of a transfer that we are considering seriously. Very few that you would really want. Most transfers are leaving because they weren't playing where they were. You need that?

No, you don’t. We might just need a juco body at the 5, however.
