He certainly was a pleasant surprise off the bench yesterday. The crowd really fed off him as well. If he can continue to give us some of that "instant offense" we were supposed to get from Newell, then the loss of Calvin won't be so devastating.
The good news is, I don't think Cam will have a worse game for the rest of the season as he had yesterday, so Tyler won't normally be counted on to play as many minutes going forward.
Myself and another old man were sitting at the scorers table watching practice about three weeks ago. Tyler was raining in three's from all over the gym.
One of the staff members (it might be talking out of school to use his name) walked up and initiated a conversation with the other guy. They seemed to be well acquainted.
My fellow observer asked the staff member if he thought Tyler could shoot three's at a 40% clip in games. The reply was," I don't know, but, if he can, he will play alot of minutes".
Now, I don't know if Tyler can maintain his current clip or not. But, busting 40% is a pretty rare. If he can, he will play alot of minutes.
