Wonder if we're one of the other schools in the mix with Texas? Pretty good player from what I remember. Would you rather have Noreen next season or this guy for the 11-12 season?

Arnett Moultrie, a 6-foot-11 forward at UTEP last season, has left the team and will transfer. Texas is one of several schools that has inquired about Moultrie, according to a source close to the Longhorns.

Moultrie averaged nearly 10 points and 6.7 rebounds a game as a sophomore last season. He is regarded as an NBA prospect.

NCAA rules require that Moultrie sit out for one season after transferring.

Here he is playing for Team USA last summer.......

I would take Moultrie over Noreen any day of the week.

This may not be a direct answer to your question, but I would offer both. Then I would either:

(1) tell them 1st commit gets the scholarship

or

(2) if they both commit we "grant" Hardrick's transfer request.

This is the guy who pops two three-pointers on us early in the All-College.

I;l take whichever one we could get.The UTEP guy does have D-1 experience BUT Noreen is a quality young player with off court high quality credentials which could help repair OU's rep.I have to wonder why a kid who is playing looks to transfer?Grade issues? Discipline issues? Character issues? If only able to take one,I go with Noreen.

His coach left to take the HC job at Auburn.

I love how some assume that every kid who wants a transfer...all the sudden has character issues or grade problems. Would you assume the same thing if the kid was white? You didn't say that..but answer the question...honestly.

My vote goes for Moultrie in a NY second. Anyone who watched UTEP play at all last year knows this kid is a stud. He killed OU..is really long and athletic..and can hit the 3 ball.

Not even close IMO.

He said he has to wonder why he is transferring, meaning he was merely wondering why he was transferring. Calm down.

If Arnett Moultrie were a hs recruit, he would be a McD's candidate and five star recruit.

Was OU in on this guy out of high school? I've never heard of him.
Just wondering the connection?
