Watch Big 12 Media Day Coverage online

What timer was Lon on, about 6:30 A.M.? Nobody had a good question and he talked for 5 minutes. Is it no one cares about OU? Lon's demeanor? There were a bunch of questions to Huggy. Of course, he is a turd and people like that.

I follow a lot of national guys of all types on twitter. The fact that OU is doing unpredcednent things like open practices and streaming them online doesn't seem to be getting much play. Outside of Rothstein and Fraschilla, I don't think many national people are even aware of the Sooners. Heck, the local newspapers rarely cover the team much right now.

I can somewhat understand given the recent season's OU has had, but I do think it could be entertaining as the year progreses. We could see a lot of people scrambling to write "Lon Kruger has done it again! How Kruger has rebuilt Oklahoma.! etc" articles come February.

I also think Kruger and this team enjoy coming from the back of the pack.

I just get mad and feel sorry at the same time about the state of Oklahoma basketball sometimes. I wonder how seriously the fans, administration, and media feel about the team. This has been happening for years and we have talked about the lack of support over here also.

Billy dealt with it and so did Kelvin. I guess it will never change.

The local media, print and broadcast, sold out to the Thunder. They pimped the deal up to get the vote passed and they follow the organization around like puppy dogs.

It is none of my business and I don't care what team people like or support. My kids go to the games and have all the Thunder gear. But, they seem to care less about OU basketball. The media was selling the Thunder and they bought in. The Oklahoman sports section doesn't have any more pages than it ever did. But, four of those pages are dedicated to the Thunder whether you want it or not. Coverage for other sports has been cut back.

OU hasn't helped themselves over the last 3 years. But, I lay alot of the responsibility on the media. And I hope they do have to write those Kruger did it again stories. And Kruger probably has to do it again before OU basketball is a story again.

I agree with what you are saying about coverage, but one team just played for an NBA title and the two state teams didn't even make the tournament. If CLK can get OU winning again, OU will get plenty of coverage. The Thunder has been tough on both OU and oSu, but they haven't really done much to compete for headlines or anything.
