Weekly Polls Thread - Week 19 *polls pending

I still believe that this team can finish 9-9 in conference, which in this stacked conference would keep us in the Top 20 nationally. I do not see us winning more than 2 conference road games, but I also do not see us losing more than 2 at home.

30% of the KenPom top 20 at the beginning of this week was in the Big 12. What an absurdly deep conference. Winning road games is going to be worth its weight in gold here on out

my guess is OU is #12 tomorrow ..
That's a really good guess. I think we will likely jump Wisconsin, Baylor and Memphis....all of whom lost this week. In a perfect world, we should probably jump ahead of Puke as well...they lost at home to a bad Pitt team, but the writers will probably give Puke the benefit of the doubt.

Love it. I so badly want the next 2, and 3 of next 4. I will be very happy if that happens. Must beat texas. Can’t wait.

I think this week might be the biggest of the season. Win two, and we have a bit of a cushion so we can withstand some of the very tough games, especially road games, ahead. A split this week wouldn't be as helpful, and 0-2 at home would obviously be very hard to overcome. Neither game will be easy, but if we have any designs on finishing in the top half of the league, we need to win at home. I hope the weather clears up because I already anticipate some local fans using it as a reason not to go tomorrow.

Agree. One thing I worry about after a good win is what I don’t know or maybe hope I don’t know. In this case I fear Cincy is just not an offensive juggernaut. They are big and physical but maybe not great on offense if you don’t let them get the dunk? Are other teams going to give us a little more trouble with more options in their offense? I don’t know and time will tell. I will probably learn more about Cincy tonight.

On weather, I am intending to drive to Norman from Overland Park tomorrow morning. There was some nasty ice here this morning. Roads are better now but sidewalks and driveways are still skating rinks. Hoping OK is decent by tomorrow.

Boulder, appreciate your positive look but man...looking at the schedule

@ ksu prob a loss...
@ ucf - W
byu - 50/50
osu - W
@bu - L
ku - L
@osu - 50/50
@isu - L
Houston - L
Cinncy - W
@ut - L

pessimistic I know but I'm really trying to look at the rest of the schedule realistically with what I've seen for the 1st 7 games of the conference.

2 HIGHLY home losses, byu is a def possibility as well. 3 losses on the road and couple of 50-50 games ....even the wins are not in my comfort zone.

OU can win any of those home games ..

and almost no road game is a lock loss ..

lol at @ucf being a W and @ osu being 50/50 ..

UCF beat KU in orlando .. and osu is in last place in the league
Well, no offense but if you’re predicting the UCF game on 1 game then I don’t see anything eating with my predictions.

Both ku and Houston are kicking ass therefore the chances of us winning in Norman aren’t very good. Just saying

Can someone explain BYU’s net ranking? Same record as ou. More quad 4 games than ou. More quad 3 games than ou. Their schedule looks softer to me.

3-4 against quad 1 while ou is 2-4. Yet byu is about 30 spots better than ou…make it make sense
