With the news of WW leaving...I am assuming gallon will be back

Were are we going to get our scoring from? I hope gallon can be that guy...I think we really need a ross or a jones to sign now so we can have their scoring ability

I still believe if the right chips fall into place we can still be much better next year possibly pushing for a tourny birth...I mean we have to sign nearly every guy on our list...but I really believe ndiaye will change us and make us much better

I remember one year when Kelvin said our best pass was a missed shot, Taj and Bookout were rebounding machines. It was funny, I remember someone mentioning how great OU was on the offensive glass and Kelvin sort of gave him a funny look like, yah, we are missing a ton of open shots.

I'm not too worried about scoring. Pledger can shoot, Cade can score, Fitz has a good post-up game and medium range shot and a bunch of moves and if Tiny is back he'll average double figures again.

I'm more worried about tranistion defense and rebounding.

Carter can score too so that helps. Scoring wasn't treally the problem this year- it was a complete lack of defense. If OU gets 3/4 JUCO recruits I think that's not a big problem.

If we can become a solid defensive team the scoring will come.

Well out offense was pretty bad too last season...

I think we will be more or less fine in terms of having the pieces to score. It is a question of if we can find a guy to initiate the offense and to get the other guys to maximize their offensive potential. I think we just need to put the ball through Tiny's hands every possession down the court and hope that opens things up for our guards or Fitz can get a 12 ft J out of it.

We were actually 53rd in the nation in offensive efficiency. To put that in perspective, Butler was 50th and Northern Iowa was 61st. In fact, the only team above us who was a worse team in the Pomeroy Rankings was New Mexico State.

Butler and UNI were better than us because of defense. Butler was 5th and Northern Iowa was 16th. We were 171st in defensive efficiency (NMSU was 224th). Only Providence, Houston, Nevada, and Colorado were ranked higher with a worse defense than us.

It's pretty easy to say that defense was the problem last year.

Sure defense was the biggest part of the problem, but the 53rd ranked offense isn't good just because UNI and Butler are also not good offensive teams. That said, improving D will help out our offense.
