...I just don't care about tomorrow's game.

If for no other reason, I care because it's Cade Davis' last home game and because they are doing the Bob Berry tribute at halftime.

If your a true fan you gotta care!!No matter if you like or dislike Capel & are approaching suicidal tendencies OSU still sucks!!!Go Sooners!!!!!!!

This

and to quote Denversooner "beating osu is always the right thing to do"

While I've been an OU hoops fan since the Dave Bliss days, I also have a life. And if there's one thing I can share w/ you guys about having a life, it is that when you are putting a great deal of energy into something and that thing, whatever it is, is not giving back to you, it is best to move on...at least for a little while...

So...in the meantime, I will continue to check this board almost daily...I will continue to hope that Capel saves his A...and I will not watch this game...

...because I have a life and I'm not going to let this stuff make me miserable...

so, to those of you who are truly unhappy and miserable about the state of OU hoops, I have one word of advice: "get a life".

all the best, OUGenius

sure - consider me some kind of villain.

There was a time when I wouldn't have ever thought this would be possible. I have skipped many important events on account of basketball...including major milestones for my kids. But I just don't have the energy now. No spark.

I know exactly what you mean, and feel much the same.

OU basketball has become boring.

I have friends that used to jump at the chance to use one of my extra tickets to attend a game. Now, no one wants to go.

Aggie...

And I agree with you btw

You're not a villain, nor are you alone in your thoughts. Two straight seasons of one poor performance after another has ripped my heart out. Even worse, I'm not too optimistic about next year. Hopefully, that will change if we can luck out in the April signing period, and as we get closer to the fall of 2012.

Naturally, I want to see OU win tomorrow's game for the players, especially Cade who will suit up for the last time in the LNC. And, t's always good to beat the Pokes, even in the worst of times. But to be honest, I can't get excited about what should be a highlight of my season as a fan.

Call me whatever you want for being honest about how I feel. But before you do, I dare anyone to find more loyal, dedicated fans than CoolM, SoonerTraveler or myself over the past three decades. If you're a relative newcomer as an OU basketball fan, you can't possibly understand what we are going through.

I agree with you. I rarely, if ever, missed OU basketball games from '96 or so, until last year. I just don't enjoy watching the team right now. Not only that, but it's caused me to not even enjoy college basketball at all this year.

I imagine we are not alone.

No doubt. You guys have been very knowledgable, consistent fans. I can attest to that since 2004 when I 1st met you all on the boards....

Cool i respect you as a poster a lot, i dont view you as a villian for your POV. Mine is just that bedlam, the red river shootouts, and bball against Kansas always matter. Even if we are dead last in the conference they still matter to me.

I feel very satisfied that my point of view about this program is the same as Travelers, coolm, Rom's, and other smart fans. We do not wish this would happen , but, for the betterment of this program it has to change. I wish nothing but luck to the kids and coaches that wear the colors.
