When Capel enters the LNC

I remember hearing what Booger is saying. I don't have links either. That stuff is over a year old.

you remember hearing what you wanted to hear.

Capel never said that he wished the crowd would cheer louder for him when he comes out of the tunnel. thats crazy

Did he say those words? No. Did he say that he was used to the crowd being loud for him and the team when they came out of the tunnel at previous schools? Yes.

and Booger said this:
Capel didn't like the reception he received before home games when he exited the tunnel.
He never said that or anything insinuating that

sending someone pm's is weak but then again that pretty much sums up BOB's shtick...

You don't know my schtick.

My pm was clean and was not threatening. His comment here made it sound much worse than it was...but I expect as much from him because that's his schtick (as you say).

it can be clean and non threatening (even though everything you could say to me I would consider nonthreatening) and still be cowardly. just call me out in public

That's against the rules, or I gladly would "call you out". I don't want to get baned.

Capel has never stated anything besides wanting the kids to get the kind of crowd they deserve, especially when they were winning big and how he felt bad for them. It was never about him and Im sure it never will be. He'll also be the 1st to admit that this year they didnt deserve a crowd because the team just wasn't any good.

The comment about Blake at the McDonalds was all about feeling that Blake wasn't getting the kind of attention he deserved being the best player in the country.

This is one of the most pathetic threads I've seen on this board since it's creation.

thank you

when Capel enters LNC next year there won't be many people there

That's certainly not what was reported but if it sounds good to you and you want to believe it then go ahead.

Are you kidding ? Did you listen to the radio interview or just making it up as you go. I dont need to "report" anything cause I heard what he said.

This is how I understood it as well.

I'm surprised so many people remember the exact words. The infighting on this thread is insane. Funny thing about opinions is they are seldom facts. There really isn't any discussion...just a few guys determined to prove each other wrong while refusing to dig up the links. Either way, his words were given to us in whatever form the writer of the article desired. It really can't be completely proven or discredited without Capel here to do so.

No, I read what others reported on OUInsider (this board wasn't around then) and a lot of people were commenting on it at the time.

At least 3 other posters have confirmed what I read so are you going to say we all read the wrong thing?

Maybe the radio in your Mercedes doesn't work very well...:)

confirmed what ? that Capel stated that he wished that when him and the team came onto the court that he wished there was a louder and bigger crowd ? Those comments along with Blake at the McDonalds were all audio interviews. Yes Capel did say those things again, because he said he felt bad for the kids including Blake. Not himself.

yes also at the time there were people upset at capel calling out the fans on the other board. so whats your point ?

For the first time you included Capel in the quote. Previously you said when the team entered and left out Capel.

I specifically remember him being upset that he didn't get the same type of ovation as Coach K used to get at Duke. Others on here remember the same thing.

As for the comment about Blake at McDonalds, I don't fault Capel for that comment because that's true. I can guarantee you had I been there, I'd have approached all of them for an autograph. Eastern Oklahoma isn't known for being very smart...I guess nobody has informed Capel of this.
