Who is worse

Good to see all the posters come out of the woodwork after a loss.

Did we overvalue this team? It appears so. No depth whatsoever and no pg play.

However, we have seen their potential. All tha tmatters is how we are playing at the end of the season. When we are clicking, things are really good. when not, we are pretty bad.

Cousins can shoot but shouldnt be allowed to pass.

I love how the pumpers on this board get so mad if you ever say anything critical or point out any flaw with ou basketball

How is insulting a kid pointing out a flaw?

OU has flaws. They need a back up pg. They need more consistent bench production. Arguably they could use a go to guy. Woodard definitely needs to shoot better. Bennett definitely needs to be more consistent. Booker needs to play better. All of that is true but none of those things are personal attacks on the players. Everyone of those kids I mentioned is an excellent basketball player. They wouldn't be at OU if they weren't.

On top of that you insult Spangler when he is playing really well on the season and arguably at an All Big XII level (meaning honorable mention or above). Do you seriously think every coach in the conference wouldn't love to have the second leading rebounder in the conference when he almost averages 10 points a game? Do you not recognize that it is difficult to average 8 rebounds a game and even harder on a team with other rebounders like Thomas, Cousins and Hield?

Saying Woodard can't shot or Spangler doesn't block out is not an insult, it's pointing out a flaw him their games.

Except that you didn't do that. You threw a verbal hissy fit following a loss. There's a place for legitimate criticism. Saying, "who is worse, Spangler or Woodard? I can't tell right now," does not even approach legitimate criticism. It's a 4 year old banging his fists on the table.

You were trying to get attention, not stir an honest conversation. Congratulations. You succeeded.

Maybe not, but there are better ways to say it. If I called you one of the two worst posters on this board, would you take it as an insult? I know I would. You're not, so I'm not saying that, I'm just making a point.

I think the reason the majority of posters object to applying that label to Woodard and Spangler is that neither of them deserve it. Jordan has had a tough season so far, but he showed plenty of promise as a freshman last year, so there is no reason to believe he can't right the ship before the season ends.

Ryan has easily been one of the best players on our roster since he came to OU three years ago. In my time as an OU basketball fan spanning more than four decades, I don't recall many players who left it all on the floor when the game was over like Ryan does. There have been players with superior skills, but very few who equaled or exceeded the effort he gives in every game.

Spin it any way you want. Jordan is just not a good shooter at this time. I thought after the Washington game which I attended with an NBA scout that Spangler might have been our most complete player. In Big 12 play that has not been the case.

All that said I take Spangler anytime over Woodard.
