If Thompson rides the pine the rest of the season, does he transfer? He seems detached lately on the bench, odds anyone? IMO the guy is just in over his head, mostly due to lack of athleticism. I just don't see him contributing meaningful minutes here on out...

I doubt it. He would have to sit out a year. I don't recall too many Juco's transfering. Is he a sophomore or junior?

He's a junior. I don't see it happening either. I guess he could go to OCU or something.

I hope he decides to stay and has an attitude adjustment (if that really is a problem)...

Juco guys can see major improvment from year 1 to year 2...and although i wouldnt by any stretch think he could start for this team, i do think if he worked hard he could earn some minutes on a team next year that might have a chance to do something...

OCU has had a few Juniors and Seniors transfer in, receive a schollie and ultimately a decent career. These include Eric Manuel from Kentucky & JC, Brian Hopgood from Louisville, Smokey McCovery and Lou Williams, from OU, for a few.

If Thompson is a good student and ends up with an OCU degree, he's done himself well.

Going back a few years, there were several who transferred from OU to OCU when Abe Lemons was coaching, including Eddie Jackson.
