Just like I said!! Don't doubt me :-). Looks like my prediction of 13-5 is spot on!! Only risk is at Texas BUT they really suck and I believe Lon will have them ready. If we don't lay a brick we should win it.

Bottom line is with that record we should be a 6 seed at least with our RPI.

I think everybody had us beating Texas Tech and Baylor...
We have two tough games in this stretch. The first one is Wednesday. Not sure why you're celebrating when the job is 1/3 done.

I think vinny is alone in thinking that isu will be a layup

Gosh, I looked for my ISU will be a layup comment and can't find it - that's because I didn't say it!!! Just implied that we would win them all without mentioning anyone except Texas.

Not celebrating just stating the obvious - and have you all watched Texas? Really? They are bad and Barnes has given up on this season.

If we get these next 2, we should be able to win out and I expect that to put us in 3rd by ourselves.

I should be a 1 game at a time guy. Beat UT first. Then move on to the ISU game (which is the tougher team in my humble opinion). With a little help along the way, we can end up 3rd in the conference if we can do that. That would be amazing.

ISU is just a very difficult team to match up with. It looks like they are playing playground, junk basketball but they have a system and they stick to it. If they are off from 3, they can lose to almost anyone. If they get hot...

They are really good, but they are different team at home than on the road. I think that we should win that one.

They are Jeckyl and Hyde on the road. But they were unlucky against both Kansas and OSU as they should have won both of those. And then they managed to lose at both tech and Texas somehow. It will not be an easy game.

Wednesday night will be UT's chance to salvage what is left of their season with a win over their biggest rival. They will be ready!

There are no easy wins or gimmes.

In every game, the Sooners have to have more points on the board than the opponent.

The Horns aren't going to like being swept. It'll be a physical battle. They have nothing to lose. We played 'em shorthanded earlier, and they won't take nicely to being embarrassed at home.

Not sure if ISU will be helped or hurt by the KU loss, but if they get hot, we'll be in trouble.

WVU...hard to beat a team three in a row. They owe us one.

TCU...last I looked, they had a home win over KU.

Yeah, it will be their NCAA tourney game, since they won't make the real one. We need to get off to a fast start. I'm cautiously optimistic!

I'll believe it when I believe it. Heck OU may go 0-2 this week if they're not careful. With ISU being a horrible matchup, they gotta win tomorrow night.

Even with an 0-2 week they still finish 20-10 and 11-7 and I would have never thought that would be the case at the start of the year.

And we spanked K-State twice last year.

Whats your point?

This is a new year, and we're about 100,000 times better now than we were then.

We still haven't shown we can defend the 3. Just have to pray they miss and we don't allow 2nd chance shots.

Yes, but a 1st round conference tournament loss puts us at 20-11...and not quite off the bubble. We really need to win one of these two games. I like Vinny's optimism in running the table, though I'm not quite as confident as he is.

As for Vinny's optimism regarding a #6 seed, I think 24 wins gets us that seed, maybe 23...definitely not less than 23.

Love the optimism Vinny, but I would take 2/2 and run like a thief.

I hoped for, but didn't really think we would win 20 games and make the NCAA. 2/2 gets us there. I don't really care about our seating for this year.

3/1 or 4/0 would be gravy IMO. I'd sure take it and it could happen. Presumably we will be favored in the WV and TCU games and maybe slight dogs in the Texas and Iowa State games. ISU has played bad on the road and hopefully they keep that up. Texas has MK back and is better than earlier. TCU beat Kansas.

Listening to the Radio, Kids sure seem confident and we seem to be playing pretty well. Grooms, Osby, Mbuye, bird and Clark all seem to be hitting their stride at the right time. If Buddy comes back, that will just be a bonus.
