Little brother blew that game. As usual, Travis stomped around like a little kid (had to be held back by his players ala Kim Mulkey) and there were tons of empties at HISTORIC GIA.

Does oswho count attendance differently than we do -- butts in seats vs ticket sold, maybe?

ESPN lists them with 7K tonight and us with 11K last night, and I didn't figure we had that many on hand.

Box score on SoonerSports.com says 11,400 tickets sold and est attendance was 7,800 against the whorns.

Box score on Cowgirls.com says attendance was 7,600 tonight. Don't know if that was tickets sold (that's my guess) or butts in the seats.

As I finished watching the game, I watched the players shaking hands. I didn't see Ford in line and don't think he shook any hands after the game. I did see the cowboy assistants in line.

Did anyone else notice it? Maybe I just missed him.

They used to do both but their attendance got so bad that they only post tickets sold now.

They had their players giving away free tickets on campus...

Wow, 7,600 tix sold is pretty dismal.

If that is true and I were the AD, I would fine him. He is supposed to be teaching young men how to be leaders. What an immature little jerk.

Pretty sure they were in line, saw Dickey given Niang some love.

just fyi for those that don't know .. OU doesn't actually est attendance .. 11,400 is what was sold .. the est number is what was scanned ..

"Est attendance" is wording on the Box Score but I do believe you are correct in that it is tickets scanned.

My how times have changed...I remember when OSU fans used to come to any OU message board and ridicule us for basketball attendance and counting tickets sold. :ez-laugh: :ez-roll:

I'm just glad we aren't having to pay students to get season basketball tickets anymore.

My Freshman and Sophomore years, we literally got paid back at the end of the year if we went to every game. We were awful, and it was hard to watch, but I did it. I would not have been able to afford student tickets at the time if we were as good as we have been under Lon.

I've been to almost every game this year, and I've been extremely happy with the turnouts. We've come a long way since even last year.

:woot Heres to hoping that we can keep it up from season to season!

Capel last years. Now that I think of it, it could have only been one year that they offered that. I've had way too much fun since then..

That promotion was in effect Blake's Sophomore year, which was my last yaer of college. I gut refunded the price of season tickets for showing up to every game. Do they no longer do that?

When was that?

I'm not sure precisely how many years they did it, but I think it lasted about 2-3 years. I was there from 2007-2011 and I remember that deal happening more than once. They would give you your money back if you went to ~85% (that is probably not the right number, but I remember it being high) of the games. But they included exhibition games, which was really annoying. You ended up not being able to miss many games at all. If you missed the exhibition games and didn't come back for a couple over Christmas break, you pretty much couldn't get the deal. I went to a lot of basketball games, and I never got my money back.

Glad some others remember this, I was beginning to think I was the only one!

I remember hearing about the giveback, but I had thought it was during Coach Kruger's tenure.
