That team started 7-3 including a loss to Stephen f Austin. We started 3-5 in conference play. When they finally figured it out they went 6-2 in their last 8 regular season conference games. What's the point? The point is Capel coached teams have faced adversity before and have been able to overcome it. For the most part he has done a good job of having his teams playing their best ball at the end of the year. Now the one thing that 07-08 team had that this one doesn't is quality non-conf wins (Gonzaga and West Virginia). That is why this Gonzaga game is so critical. If we lose I'm afraid a nice run in conference won't be enough to save us.

OU's season will probably be between that first Capel Season and the 07-08 team. Those teams had excuses for their struggles though. This team is alot more talented with the exclusion of BG.
