FWIW, nbadraft.net has a 2015 mock draft and it has Buddy Hield 20th overall and Tashawn Thomas 60th overall

If I were creating that site, I would switch those guys. I would predict Thomas as a late first round and Buddy as a late second round. Making All Conference in two conference really impresses me. I also think lots of guys can do what Buddy does. I don't mean to insult him, I just don't think a 6'5" athlete is all that rare these days.

Enjoy Buddy this year. He may not be here next year. We've got a lot of offers out for 2015 SG.
Prepare yourself now!

Buddy would have to blow up pretty good this season to work himself into a draft prospect. He might.

I don't see it.

Not saying Buddy can't make it happen, or wouldn't, but Buddy seems like a kid that would come back for his senior year unless he was a top 10 type pick, which I just don't see happening. His body and game, at the end of last year, doesn't scream NBA-fit to me. Again, not saying he can't or won't end up in the NBA, just saying I think he's at OU for four years.

We shall see. Not many thought Mbaye would leave either.

I'll be surprised if Buddy isn't drafted at some point be it this after year or next.

I think most of us forgot that MBaye was a) older, and b) had family that needed supported. I also don't think he was the friendly, loved his teammates type. Nothing wrong with that, but hindsight being what it is, I think MBaye had a few more reasons to leave.

I say that not knowing what Buddy's family situation is like. If his mom is living in a shed in the bad part of town, maybe he does leave early if the guaranteed money is there.
