I know, I know, it's a long ways out, and a lot can happen, but only looking at names that have committed or are already on our roster, check this out:

PG: Woodard (JR)
SF: Hornbeak (SR), Cousins (SR)
OG: Hield (SR), Booker (JR)
PF: Buford (SO), Cole (JR)
C: Spangler (SR), Lattin (SO), McNeace (SO)

We still have 1 scholarship available for next year (2014-2015), and if we don't use it, we'd still have 3 available for 2015-2016. We definitely need to keep adding to that, but that is a pretty solid start to that team. And pretty experienced too. That 2015-2016 recruiting class will be important in terms of guards, with us losing so much after that season. Milton and Trier would be HUGE for that class.

Long ways away... Milton is more of a chance than Trier. I don't think there is anyway he comes back to Okla. The staff is shooting high for sure... King Mclure is a top prospect they are after, flat out scorer..

Exciting indeed! Quality depth should not be a problem next year and beyond.

One correction, though. Buford is listed as a PF. But I believe the staff plans to play him at the SF position. He already has a good touch on his short-range jumper. If he works hard to extend his range to behind the arc, I think he has the potential to be a prototypical three.

Believe it when I see it. :)

Almost always, if a guy comes out of HS, where he played inside, and says he wants to play outside, they end up being small 4's in college. Not sure why he would care either. LK can play him at the 4, and still get him the ball outside, and let him work. Both Osby and M'Baye did that last year from the 4 and 5 spots. Plus, looking at our roster, there are more minutes to be had at the 4 going forward. If after a year or two he has developed enough to play the 3, so be it. There might be minutes out there for him. But I'd be pretty shocked if he didn't start his career at OU playing the 4.

I like the walk-on Mankin better than Cole.

I was just listing scholarship players.

Yeah, me too. Taylor Griffin is a good example of that.

I'm just saying the coaches plan to play Buford on the wing, much like Cam is doing this year. If Dante proves to be versatile enough to post up defenders or move to the perimeter and make shots or take them off of the dribble, he could be a very valuable commodity down the road a ways. It will be interesting to watch his progress, that's for sure.

Buford will be the same position wise as Cam. He'll pend time at the 3 and 4 and we'll debate throughout his four years whether he is a 3 or a 4. Like Cam he's both. Lol! Sometimes he'll play more 3 sometimes he'll play more 4. That's the versatility Kruger likes, big lineup play the 3, small play the 4.
