2019 Recruiting

[/B]
6'8 with a long wingspan and plays bigger than he is.

I'm with you BC. Victor Iwaukor seems to have a personal grudge with any rim he encounters. Kinda has a Jermi Grant like game to him. There maybe some higher up on the big board but I wouldn't be disappointed in the least to get a aggressive guy like him. Blocks a lot of shots. His film shows him above the top of the square on the backboard. I don't know how many games he played last year but his hudl bio showed he had 123 blocks. I've seen him listed at 210 LBS but he looks thicker to me and is cut up. Saw some highlights of him playing with Drew Timme so they are some what aquatinted through summer league. I would take that front court in a heartbeat. Obviously, If you can find and sign a 6'10" plus skilled guy you take it but I'm on board taking a smaller 6'8" 6'9" post guys in today's game. OU hasn't had a lot of success with the bigger guys and not for a lack of trying. I just think it's a safer position to hedge your odds of development.

Victor, Timme, Harmon to go with a SF, SG, CG/PG. Let's be real here, That trio would be a really solid haul. If some how you get Williamson (I know it's a long shot) the next question is how many of them are 4 year players? Do Harmon and Williamson project as early entree kind of talents?

Coachtalk, do you see Harvey still as a possibility? I don't know why but I never really considered him as a legit option but you know more about the Kansas guys than I. If you get the trio on board I would say the odds could go up a little. I'd be ecstatic if that were the case. The kid can shoot. Malik Hall, Jaden Hill, Martin Jr, the juco Thomas is just getting into the crazy team talent level talk but I'm willing to go there. September is shaping up to answer some question as where we are heading one way or the other.

New training facility, Jordan brand combined with obvious but still cleaver marketing of Bird-Man-Ek, Recent top 10 draft pick, 5*Harmon and a respected coach that's not a drunk, cheat sleaze ball that belittle's his players will surely sprout into something good on the horizon. If not, the experts will take over the coliseum and OU basketball will fall like Rome. Good thing we don't need 300 but just 5 or 6 that want to be apart of shaping history and correcting the record. OU DNA, is it Sparta of you? I'm ready for my bread and circuses dammit, but I'll settle for beer and nachos to close out a top 10 class.

No I think Harvey is gone.

I’d love timme but ship may be gone there as well.

I think we’ll finish with a top 25 ranked class

Shear number of players we're going to take almost guarantees that.

Be curious to see what our ranking is if you look at average per player.

Well that stinks, who's the favorite with Drew? I was hoping Harmon could help with him and I thought he was actively trying to get him on board. Throw in Victor playing with Timme some and i guess i was to quick on the draw. I kinda figured with so many front court players currently on the roster it would be tough to land impact guys but from an outsiders perspective looked like we were in a decent spot. Recruiting can be a fickle game.

They aren’t giving up. I’d say MSU.

Harmon is recruiting hard. Momma Harmon is as well.

They are through and through boomer sooner

Malik Hall is considered a MSU lean as well. Would be shocked if they got both.

Probably right. But timme is much better than Hall IMO.

Maybe who wants to commit first type deal.

Time is a lot better I agree. I think OU misses out on both, but they are in on really good JUCOs in those positions (I hated saying that).

Lol. Like I said I’ll take 2 really good jucos and 3 HS kids and save one spot for a grad transfer

There was an article this morning saying timme and McDaniels still has Ou innplay. They said odd that duke uk unc weren’t offering them.

We shall see!

Well, we have one thing going for us -- he's not likely to be blown away by the atmosphere in Lawrence this weekend as the Hawks open football season in front of dozens of fans. :) Really too bad that KU is considered the favorite -- if they weren't in the mix, I'd feel much better about our chances.

Yeah that doesn't really make much sense? Either KU feels really good or really bad about him already. Either way it seems like a wasted trip this weekend given the atmosphere will be terrible. Hopefully that's a good thing for the good guys!

I think with KU, their basketball program is so good and the football program is so bad that it is basically irrelevant. Self would love to see the football program improve, but all he has to do is get a recruit to attend one basketball game in the Fieldhouse and that kid won't be worried about whether the football team ever wins another game. Too bad they don't already have a couple one-and-done wings committed for next year, that would obviously help us.

Lol ya the KU football program has no effect on KU basketball.. in fact, i think it's terribleness really helps the attention and fandom of the basketball team

Hall leaning Purdue.

MSU for Timme.

Wish KU would take a couple players so Williamson would think its best to go elsewhere.

So 247 Sports is completely wrong on Hall. Got it.

The last 3 crystal balls were to OU, and not just from OU insiders.
