Harmon top 35 is elite. Mcdaniels top 5 player is elite.

We are in a bunch of 30-150 top players.


Jacob germany is ranked 215 but by the reaction of some posters hes not even a good backup plan.

What if he turned out just a tad worse than Manek, Is that ok?

I’m all for keeping instate kids at home when we can. I’m just.not sure Germany is worthy of a ship in our 2019 class?

There’s a reason he’s ranked #215 nationally, not to mention the fact that his scholarship offer from OU is said to be conditional. Judging by the highlight videos I have watched online, he’s got a long way to go to be ready to compete at the D-1 level.

I’m just not for using a valuable scholarship in this class on another project.. I find it hard to believe our coaches can’t fill all of those spots with recruits who have a higher upside and/or a higher motor than Jacob Germany. Maybe he will prove me wrong this fall. If Jacob Germany is, in fact, one of those players with a low motor (not aggressive; plays soft), then OU and Germany may both be better off if he goes elsewhere. Turning up the revs on a slow motor player does not seem to be a strength of this OU coaching staff.

In reality, I hope the young man plays hard, plays tough, and does his best. I always like to see Oklahoma high school kids succeed.

OU has a top 50 kid & are in on a lot of others. Where did you get that OU won't sign more? Also location plays a huge factor and UGA hired Tom Crean so there's some instant excitement there right now.

Your memory is correct. He even got left home on a road trip at one point because Marshall was so mad about his lack of effort/toughness. He turned into a nice player, especially his senior year, but he is definitely someone who would have been bashed (rightfully so) by OU fans if Lon had offered/signed him.

Strike 1 of most likely many. I got ripped when I said OU would struggle to fill their recruiting class with players who could truly compete at a Big 12 level. I will not change my opinion until i am proven wrong, but I doubt it will happen this year. 4 more spots, and not a single kid OU leads on.

I don't see Reeves as a 4 star, but I will give you those 2. But what I do see are 4 open spots that do not need to be filled by 3 stars and JuCo's who really should not be at OU. The Sooners do not have a system that allows for a bunch of 3 stars to overachieve like a TTU or WVU.

Are you really comparing Tech favorably to OU in any way? They are coming off their first good season in ages and oh by the way, they had a first round pick and a lot of other talented players last season. Let's pump the brakes on acting like they have an established history of overachieving. Also, Buddy notwithstanding, I don't recall us having a load of stars when we spent the entire season in the Top Ten and made the Final Four.

Cousins was a 2* & Spangler, Woodard, & Lattin were 3* so good luck with that theory.

So why come here and be miserable every day?

We have a 4 and 5 star in the 2019 class but its not enough. Seem like a guy that wants LK fired, Probably wanted Bob Stoops fired as well?

We don't have a system, and we've done nothing to build off of a Final Four that seems like it was eons ago.

Recruiting info is about as reliable as Mike Morgan's forecast, but the returning "talent" does not make me excited for practice to get underway.
