Sounds like they may take another in 2019.

Id assume a transfer or 2 after this year...

I'd have no problem with signing one more if they identify someone who will be a good fit. The reality is, transfers are inevitable these days, so even if it looks like we will end up with a bunch of players graduating at the same time, it is unlikely to play out that way.

They have one more scholarship to give and it would have to be someone that
really fit in. OU pulled out on Hall and Armstrong because of their "advisors"

Glad to hear it! No high-maintenance or problem kids, thanks.

Interesting, but not surprising. Lon is a straight up guy who doesn’t like to play recruiting games.

I bet this happens a lot more with this staff that we don't hear about. Great info

Thanks NAIA, What do you gents think about Wilfried? I'm not sure how our coaches still regard Wil going forward. The team's front court is pretty crowded as is and maybe better suited for a backcourt player unless the coaches know something we don't yet. I know bigabd and myself have mentioned him a time or two before. He's improved over the summer and looks like he could blow up this year. He's got a 7'3" wingspan and for a tall lanky guy, he can create his own shoot and slash extremely well for a 6'10" small forward. Pretty good ball handler for his size with a nice looking release from deep. Many on the board wanted Khalid Thomas (myself included) but Wilfried is no chopped liver. I'll post a 3 minute video of him below if anyone wants to see what his game is like.

I know the consensus of the board is to hold out for a grad transfer at the end of the year but do you pass up a prospect that can be a mismatch for a couple years opposed to a one year rental? Does this scenario change if the staff foresees Freeman, Polla or someone else transferring at years end. This would open up another roster spot to go grab a backcourt transfer to go along with Harmon, Bieniemy, Reaves and Williams. Could Jalen Hill help out at the SG spot if needed? Anyways, this is probably all for not but Wilfried was a guy the staff offered and identified early and someone I took a shine to as well. It'll be interesting to see where he goes and how he turn's out. He's from Portland originally so I could see him being offered later on by a bunch of PAC-12 schools. OU is one of his best offers to date but that could change going forward.

2019 6'10 F Wilfried Likayi - Casper CC https://youtu.be/0nf8cm4Ch4M
Freshman year at Casper averaged 20 min a game and put up close to 11 pt and 6 reb while shooting 44% fg, 32% 3pt and 77% ft. Those numbers are not gaudy by any means but click the link and see if it changes your mind knowing he's improved from year one.

Wilfried has a teammate that's a pretty salty guard as well if you want to check him out below. I don't know if he's a OU type offer but I'm sure the staff knows of him because of Wilfried.

2019 6'4 G Amin Adamu - Casper CC https://youtu.be/ruVEvBgMvOE

Update: Here's a Wyoming news report talking about the Denver Juco Scrimmage and a little feature on Amin Adams. The video is from 20 hours ago and has 6 views so there are at least 5 other people that are as board as me tonight. I guess he's from across the pond and originally from England. He's a funny cat but his game has some roar. I wonder if OU would look at him? He might be under the radar right now but his game looks pretty good to me, not bad on the mic either. https://youtu.be/lHNpd0I2NiI

And it’s nice to not have to worry when stories come out if your team may or may not be involved.

Do any of you insiders know why OU seemingly backed off Etienne late in the process? He committed to WSU a few days ago and of course, in the local media, they said he chose them over OU. I trust there was a good reason if the staff decided he wasn't a good fit, but am just curious if anyone has the scoop.

Not really inside scoop here but I think the plan all along was take all but 1 spot (unless its a cant miss) and save it for a grad transfer to fill any holes.

Ive said before I think theyll be 1-2 guys leave after this year. Just happens, we all know that.

OU couldve had him.

With Kur playing this year who do we use the last scholarship on. Loses in 2020 unless others leave early.
