With Phipps committed & only 1 (for sure) scholly left, is everyone on hold until Thompson makes a decision? I’d sure hope so.

Yep. I bet we’d save it unless someone else big took it.
 
So do we think Bryce takes this decision past the Nov signing period? If Bienemy takes a big step up early in the season, does that in any way hurt our chances with BT (i.e. he sees a roadblock to starting). Obviously this would be a great problem to have because it means our team is getting better. Maybe I'm thinking about it wrong and he would just take Reaves spot (or whoever is the other wing). Curious about the board's thoughts. Come on down BT!! Take us back to elite status

Recruits like Bryce embrace the competition not shy away from it. They want to go to a school that can compete for conference titles and a deep run in March. He’ll know that’s not possible without good players and backups at every position.

You can also be sure that he is not lacking in confidence in his own abilities. That’s just one of the reasons he’s a five star recruit with a host of high D-1 offers.
 
Any chance Bryce signs somewhere in Nov or is it almost guaranteed he waits to see how things play out and signs in the spring?

No new news to my knowledge. But last I heard he wants to sign early.
 
Has Lon (or any OU coach) won a 5 star battle that went into spring?
I think Lon would be wise to move on if that happens.

TY was late February. OU is probably only using 1 more scholarship with a great nucleus returning, I think this is the perfect time to go all in unless Thompson tells them he's not considering them.

Exactly. We won this very battle in spring 2017. No-brainer to stay in on Thompson unless he tells the staff they are wasting their time, and there have certainly been no indications that will happen.

They wont move on. Not many 5 stars hanging around Oklahoma

From what Ive gathered its BT or save the ship so no harm in going all out.
 
I'd rather be left holding the bag than not even try on Thompson. He's a game changer.
