Penzo says the first week of practice has been great. OUTwitter.

Courtney and Aaryn also wore #3, it's possible Mandy will do the number justice... she has a chance to make an impact with her shooting and should have plenty of playing time.

It is her rebounding that intrigues me.

Moi aussi.

I also hope EJ takes a big step up. She is a tough, fearless rebounder who just needs experience (I think). Rebounding needs to go up at least one level.

Ten scholarship players is .........not enough!

We're really thin now. One of the starters goes down and ugh!

It is hard to believe that OU is down to this.

It appears it will be, basically, a completely new roster in 18-19.

I'm sure we'll have enough bodies to field a team. Maybe.

The problem is even deeper than that for 2018-2019
This year though, you have 5 rising seniors leaving with almost all the playing time.
The 2 juniors have barely left the bench in two years. Rich somehow played less than that.

If all 3 freshman are not ready to play, Sherri's got like a 7 player rotation. We don't even
know if Treece can play more than a few minutes.

I guess the JUCO girl signed elsewhere?? There's no more incoming help at all. Sherri hasn't stashed two players in Spain like the San Antonio Spurs?
Sherri's a great coach, but any kind of injury or defection/suspension and she's asking the volleyball ball team for volunteers. Again.

I'm sorry but I'm beginning to think Sherri either needs to step up or get out of the way. I'm sure all of our problems can't be Sherri's fault, but she's not blameless either.

There are too many bad things happening to this program.

Our two freshmen that got a lot of playing time transferred....How many years did out staff recruit these two???
We're relying on three freshmen that haven't played one second of D1 basketball to play significant minutes......
I often see a lack of discipline and conditioning on Sherri's teams.
Can Maddie make it through the year without injury?
Will Treece provide any minutes as a back-up?

And OU is a big program....but we can't get anyone to transfer in now???

I know.....it's got to get better, don't it???
:o

Treece is no longer playing, according to another thread, so she needs to be taken off the roster. So just four seniors who can play.

Treece is still listed on the roster because, as Sherri mentioned at the post-season banquet, she's still on some sort of injury scholarship (similar to Lyndsey Cloman I believe) but will not be playing.

I don't think we can count on Treece to even be a body on the practice floor.

It's going to be an exhausting year for the players who are left.
