a note about Strong-Moore

Agreed, Shepherd just has too many holes right now to play significant minutes (even though this year he has to). But in 2 years if he works he could be a serviceable big12 pg. I still don't see him making the jump like Cousins bc of his athleticism & toughness.

I think you are underestimating Shep's athletic ability. But, I do agree that he doesn't appear to have Cousin's toughness.

I've never seen a PG that once he touches the ball wants to instantly jack up a 3 point attempt with many of them bad shots.

Agreed. He makes poor decisions (i.e., shot selection -- that finger roll :facepalm ) and the offense really struggles as well as press break.

I agree with this^.

Shepard at this point is a much better point guard than was Cousins. Remember how poorly Cousins was at PG his frosh year? :facepalm

However, Cousins had a supreme work ethic and his short jumper game was really strong. His work ethic made him a better ball handler and a better 3 point shooter. Let's hope Shep has that type of work ethic.

He can jump but that's about it. I see him being a poor man's Woodard. He isn't near as quick or fast as Cousins was.

Yes he is better than Cousins as a frosh. But it's easier to improve your ball handling & shooting than to improve speed & quickness.
