I believe this is the first time ever they celebrate a football team accomplishment at a womens game instead of a mens game.
I can remember being at the LNC in 86 when they celebrated the 85 National Championship. I can remember being at the LNC in 2001 (for a mens game) when they celebrated the 2000 national championship.
I can remember 4 of the last 5 years when we won a Big 12 championship in football they celebrated at mens games.
Have they always celebrated it at a womens game in addition to a mens game? Or is this a sign the administration figures more people will go watch a womens game instead of a mens game given the difference in the quality of the play on the floor this year?
Unless they have recently celebrated football championships at womens games, I would have to think this is a negative for Jeff Capel.
