Baylor leave the Big 12 or something?
Almost impossible to rank things right now past the top two. A&M and Missouri have both looked like they belong in the discussion at times, but both also have some bad road losses (Missouri at CU and OSU, A&M at NU). Several other teams have shown flashes of being much better than people initially thought (Colorado looking like a legitimately good team, then sucking again; OU looking like they'd be lucky to win 2 conference games then pulling out 4 straight)... but it's still just flashes.
Really its KU and Texas at the top (they get their own tier) Mizz and A&M in the next rung. Then a bunch of nada.

Why is Missouri getting so much love.
Wow. This is really hard to do.
But here's how I would rank them. Not strictly on what they have accomplished or what they will accomplish, but how good their current roster/coach is. What I mean is that I still think Baylor and Kansas State are good teams even though they haven't shown it yet and KState may tank.
1. Texas
2. Kansas
3. Missouri - because they will win all 8 home games
4. Baylor - they still have a size advantage on most teams and Lace Dunn
5. A&M - lately they look like they are ready to drop down to middle of the pack
6. KState - they still have a size adavantage on most teams and Jacob Pullen
7. Colorado - I know we beat them in Norman but they should win most games at CU
8. OU - we dont have the horses that the top 6 teams do, but we max out potential
9. OSU - Ford actually has more to work with than OU but doesnt get it out of them
10 Tech - lack of defense, lack of true post pressense
11 Nebraska - not impressed with them. 50-60 ppg isnt going to get it done
12 Iowa State - no depth

Why is Missouri getting so much love. They played a respectable non-conference and beat the Illini but they have not beaten anyone in conference play. Their wins are KSU, ISU and Nebraska at home. That amounts to beating three teams in the bottom 5 at home.
OU has a road win and beat CU and Baylor. Those teams are tied for 5th and 6th.
I agree it is Texas and KU and everybody else. I think Missouri will beat OU because it is in Missouri but I am losing faith in Missouri.
MU has lost four conference games, but all were on the road and three of the four were against likely (IMO) NCAA teams (and one was an overtime loss against a team OU lost to by 18 in Norman).
OU's road win is against a team we beat by 33. Half the Big 12 will be winning games in Ames this year.
