Big 12/SEC Challenge matchups to be announced today

Kentucky.

They came close in 2012. Next year's team could be better.

People said that last year too. I know they return basically everybody, but they might coast early knowing they can turn it on late. And I never trust teams that struggle shooting the ball. They don't have many/any shooters. That alone will lead to a few losses.

They have Tyler Ulis, Devin Booker, and Karl Towns coming in next season who are all great shooters.

True, but I doubt those guys all came back to coast.

I expect them to be motivated from day one.

We'll see about the shooters. The Harrisons both shot around 35% from three as freshmen, which is hardly bad. Booker and Ulis will help there, as well.

And even if they do struggle to shoot a bit, the kind of size advantage they'll have against every other team is insane.

Well, when your alternatives average 4/2 and 0.5/0 in the SEC while shooting 36%/0% from the floor, this is a welcome addition.

Seriously. Our backup point guard was going to be a guy who didn't hit a single field goal all year.

Hope you guys look forward to constant Mizzou updates until we play.

No one cares about Mizzou!!

I'll second that. We will have more interesting and challenging non conference opponents than Missouri.

Not more interesting and challenging opponents in the Big 12/SEC Challenge.

You guys can handle one thread with a few Mizzou posts, surely.

OK. That is dire.
